Hear yea, hear yea, listen up and pay attention at the back...Here are the correct terms for what goes in an comes out of pipes/bongs/vapourizers,

CANNABIS, weed, herb, marijuana etc is a plant that produces RESIN that contains THC, both for reproduction and protection.

RESIN, secreted from the female (not male) plant, and not from a pipe. Collected and dried by man then pressed together to form...

HASHISH!, the solid mass produced by pressing RESIN.

TAR, the sticky black crap that sticks to the inside of your pipe. Burnt oils, ash and carbon in a sticky substance that contains a little THC. When cannabis is lit, the heat from one side of the burning herb vapourises some of the resin as the heat is sucked through the herb. This THC gets stuck in the tar until reheated.

DISTILLED RESIN, the stuff that drips out of a well used vapourizer, made up from resin heated to a steam that then condenses on the cold glass/metal/wood on the inside of your vape.
Once thought to be the magic sticky binder for low grade hashish.

KIF The male flowers and pollen chopped with tobacco, rolled into small balls and smoked though a sebsi pipe.

I've been happy using most of these definitions for over twenty years, I ain't changing now.

The kif one was taken from Robert Conell Clarke's book 'HASHISH!'

Yup, if my area stretched from Afghanistan to Nepal that would be the definition I would use.

What brown cancer shit you talking about? Tar or Resin?

You see what happens when you muck about with definitions that grew up with the plant.....confusion.

Try reading what I've written, then go sit down and think it through for a while.

Get back to me when your up to speed.

male flowers, pollen, and tabacco. interesting blend. whats that some kinda waterpipe?
i hate how definitions get so changed, but then again thats being very closed minded, its something that you must accept when kids hear random words on the street and start attaching an image to it.

do NOT smoke the male plant, below 0 THC content.

Uhm, I think he was talking about the tobacco when he said "brown cancer shit".

Why dont you try being a little more open-minded before you go making fun of people for not "being up to speed". Those may be the terms used where your from, but not everywhere else. Some people I know scrape their pipe for "resin", and sprinkle some kif (off of a bud, mind you) on top of it. Are they morons for using the words like that? No. People from different places have different meanings for the same words.

Just because people talk a little different, doesnt make them wrong. LETS PUT ANOTHA SHRIMP ON THA BARBIE!!! Do you talk like that? Probably not. If you did, I wouldnt mind becuase its perfectly fine for you to speak a little differently than I do. Its just wrong to assume that I have the only correct way of speaking.

And becides, who cares if someone mucked up the deffinitions that grew up with the plant? Im not sure if you noticed, but words change meanings over time. The word silly meant blessed or happy in the 11th century going through pious, innocent, harmless, pitiable, feeble, feeble minded before finally ending up as foolish or stupid. Buxom began with the meaning obedient and changed via compliant, lively, plump to large breasted. The word nice meant stupid and foolish in the late 13th Century. It went through a number of changes including wanton, extravagant, elegant, strange, modest, thin, and shy. By the middle of the 18th Century it had gained its current meaning of pleasant and agreeable.

But dont be offended, I think you are a nice guy..

If you were to read a little further down the passage you would have seen this

[edit] Kief in Morocco
In the late 1970s, Kief was sold surreptitiously in the poorer parts of town through a small hatch. The twigs of the Cannabis plant were wrapped into a cone with newspaper. A small quantity of untaxed black tobacco was included, and this was (supposedly) the only part that was illegal.[citation needed]

The smoker would carry a small leather pouch, and prepare his smoking mixture for the day fresh every morning. The leaves were finely chopped on a wooden board. This mixture was transfered to a piece of card, and a rolling action separated out the unwanted seeds.[citation needed]

Long before we were seiving resin from our plants, they were smoking kif in their sebsi's, and I believe this is the older definition of smoking kif.
;)
There is nothing wrong with change, but call a spade a spade.

Ahh read further down

Australia: Kif (or Kiff) often refers to 'scraps' of marijuana bud or leaf, such as the broken pieces of bud and leaf fragments found at the bottom of large quantities. Kiff does not necessarily have to be 'unwanted' weed, or leafy residue, but large, individual and cohesive pieces of bud are excluded from this definition.

So you admit it isn't resin then, in either Morocco or Australia.
