What would I need if I wanted to just grow some weed for me and 2 friends for the weekend? I have about 15 seeds, that I am growing, currently only with a "natural sunlight" lamp (18w cfl). I know I wont get a huge yield atm. But they are still only seeds.

How many lights should I pick up. Basically Im looking for a way to casually grow them, not set up all these monitors and stuff, just have lights and water. My parents used to grow it and said it worked fine. I was just wondering how much of a yield I would get.

... ummm ....

you won't be growing anything for the weekend babe; it takes a few more months than that....

lol, though, i got a kick outta this one! if you want advice on starting a setup, no prob, but reevaluate your perogatives a little.

I know it takes a while, and I just planted my seeds, I was just wondering, if I just wanted to get a few lights for just some medium quality weed or something. What should I pick up at Home Depot?

I just want to stop buying and grow my own so be and my friends dont have to go broke every weekend.

ok, but it's going to take at least three months... as long as you know...

cheapo setup:

go to lowes and get a double flourecent fixture and two ge daylight bulbs. this will get you through veg, or close enough, then get several warm spec cfls for the flower cycle (i recomend you force flower at five nodes if going with cfl's)

you with me so far?

23-Watt Mini-Twist CFL Light Bulbs (http://www.lowes.com/lowes/lkn?action=productDetail&productId=153972-3-29636&detail=cr&lpage=none)

Like 4 of those?

Dunno what a double flourescent mixture is. And are the day bulbs just like normal light bulbs?

Or would it be better for me just to get a 150w hps?

well ya for sure it'd be pretty good but still throw some cfls on the side... more light=more yield
