Why the 20th of April?

Everyone who smokes green, will smoke on 4/20 to celebrate.

But what are we celebrating and what is the importance of the date?

Just wondering if anyone here on the forums knew.

I believe April the 20th in Canada is known as Smoke Day or something like that, which is supposed to be for like grilling and shit? But stoners like us think its for like weed so we celebrate in harmony....:rastasmoke: I'm not sure it's smoke day for sure but it's some Canadian holiday.

I was always under that impression, yet i see no correlation between the two.

No one knows for sure where 420 comes from origionally but the number now goes hand in hand with pot. When I first heard it my friend explained that it was because there is 420 different chemicals in pot which probably isnt true either. I tend to believe the one about the Waldos
