sup fellas.. was at borders the other day and never really thought about growing weed until i saw the pc grow case advertised so i decided to build my own... i used an existing case and pwoer supply to power up my 7000K car HID kit.. super bright as u can tell from the pics.. im very new to growing, been reading a lot.. and im awaiting for my seeds to germinate as of now.. but since its in such a small case im probably gonna have u use LST method to get the most yeild.. let me know what u guys think.. also, the ballast has been moved to the outside of the case..

here is the bad boy with the light on.. its VERY bright.. im talking about the one bulb lighting up my entire room with the door open.. hopefully i can make something outta this project.. :)

nice setup. How tall is your case. Mine is only 15 and a half inches tall but i plan on lsting it.

7000 or 8000K HID light from a car.. (metal halide i beleive).. ya reallly tight fit.. im growing in 2 6inch pots... will be lst'ing the shit out of it.. hopefully i can maake something out of this.. :)

Xenon! metal halid ha! that shits like 10 times the size of that bulb. anyways it should work for vegging with all that blue light, flowering u may need to switch to some cfls.

it will be interesting to see how that light works for you, havent seen anybody try one as of yet you can get different color temps have seen them as low as 3000k and 4300k but the bulbs are expensive.

Metal-halides fall under the category of HID, right? According to wikipedia it does, but it could be wrong for all i know.. and yes... the bulbs are HELLA expensive, and yeh they sell like 3000k and 3500k which will put out more lumens... i would say the avg price per bulb is 100-150$, but luckily i have a couple to fuck with... maybe if i get bored, ill run 2 HID's in the tiny case and see how well they grow.... im actually waiting for the seed to sprout.. its been 2 long days... cmon you little seedling!!!
