OK so I bought a 30x magnifier. plants are 4 weeks into flower, I have seen some trichomes, its much easier if i pluck a small leaf and hold the magnifiyer steady over a white piece of paper to see the trichomes, what is the best method for viewing and what parts of the plants should i be viewing to monitor the life cycle of trichomes in preparation for harvest?

hey. 30 is cool. you might try to snip a small piece of a leaf off and look at that. bout the size of a bb. I've just got a 10/20x jeweler loupe and i can look right on the plant now.

I snip off a tiny bit of bud leaf at a time and view it on my desk.

You really want to look all over the plant and take an average of that. 4 week, wait till you see them on your flowers. Do a search for loc nar 1958 and look at my grows. I could see them good with the macro of my camera. I think they were papaya grows and redhair ladies.
