I just noticed these fuckers, never had em before. I already posted this in plant problems, but I'm freaking out right now and I want to know if there's anything I can do before I can go get no-pest strips and neem oil tomorrow. Is there anything else I should use?

I'm 6.5 weeks into bud. I have some pics up in the "plant problems" forum if anyone's interested.

HELP!
bud luv.

they won't "bounce back" you'll see damage, but you will be able to kill them, you'll be able to smoke the product. just hurry and do something. dont' neem, too late. in the meantime, get a spray bottle and spray those fuckers with cold water. helps to knock them off of the palnt.

if you ave fr eezing temps, put the plant outside for 10-15 mins; this will freeze em off...

but you do need no pest strips, and neem for next time, precuationary

WHAT HAPPENS TO EM WHEN YA KNOCK EM OFF WITH WATER? DO THEY DIE OR JUST WALK BACK UP?

WHY?

WHY?

They smell strongly of poison. I've had a bad taste in my mouth since I put one up. It says to not use it in "living areas," and while my grow is behind a "usually" closed door, it's a bedroom close to everything else.

What's this about freezing them off? tell me more, does it solve the problem? does it dam,age the plants? If I do it say once a week can I hold off till harvest? We have lots of cold here.

crissy, sm's are very susceptable to cold. extremely... if temps are below freezing, you can kill the mites in ten to fifteen mins. i don't think it kills eggs, but it kills larval and adult stages.

doing so on a weekly basis could cause hermies in weak strains... keep this in mind. a hardy strain, esp a cold liking strain (ie nl) could probably take the abuse with no probs.

edit: leaving out for more than fifteen minutes can cause freeze burn to leaves and lengthy exposure will freeze stems and kill the plant. i don't recomend leaving out for more than ten but i've gone as long as fifteen with no probs (except slight classic stress symtoms, ie curl and wilt)

what about Afghanis? Hardy or no?

Scarlet Sky

mine are exceptionally hardy. but they were bred for ease of growing... yours may very well be the same. my afghans thrive at 58f day temps... go figure...

If I open the bathroom window and let the cold in I can freeze the fuckers without risking someone seeing me outside. hhhmmmmm

Scarlet Sky

that would take longer than ten minutes... greater chance of failure (bastards will probably just vacate to soil until it warms back up.

you have to shell shock them.

good point. I'll have to do it at like 3 in the morning then to hide from close neighbors.

That's the only way I would do it. By the way this tag game is fun, you're fast.
