It would have been alot better without the CGI effects. It would have made a great druggy dramatic.

I started watching it and than I saw Keanu Reves was in it. I turned it off, I may eventually watch it, but he is a shitty actor, so I figured the movie would prob be shit.

I saw it last summer in the theater (I'm a big fan of the director Richard Linklater ) but I don't remember all that much of it.
I enjoyed it though. Wasn't his best work but it was interesting

It disagree... it think they did an amazing job on it... they individually went over each frame and hand animated it

Yea the movie was put together well, skipped around but they should have added a zzzzt or something to let you know there was a jump in time or place. The future of drugs was interesting. Imagine watching train spotting when heroin didn't exist.. Pretty wild. Substance D is something pretty scary.. could that be todays Meth or you think its portrayed as something of a more evil.
Anyway ending sucked, left with questions, alot to pay attention to. Its wierd because of those multi look suits.

So what's the crap they spray in the bag to make "Coke?"
"We need to find the fucking missing gears!!" ...that seene was hysterical....

Have you seen Bram Stoker's Dracula? He was pretty good in that.
I don't think he's the best actor ever or anything like that, but I think he can be pretty good, and if you think about it, it may be the roles that you don't like rather than the acting. Just food for thought.
But anyways, can I get a brief overview of what this movie's about?

The future of illegal drugs. A drug so powerful you are an addict, or never tried it... and some people.

There is just something about the way he talks that annoys the crap out of me. I may give this movie a chance since everyone is talking about how good it was and in his defense, I was able to watch all the Matrix movies.
I have never been able to finish anything else he as been in though.

i hink the problem with keanu reeves is that he lacks charisma and plainly cant act, getting jobs based on his looks. hes one of many actors who [luckily for them] star in great films but have little acting talent. im thinking brad pitt, ewan mcgregor, bruce willis and tom cruise to name a few.

Sleepless if you have that attitude no matter when you see him you are going to think "this guy sucks". I got the movie for christmas and I wouldnt say im a big fan of keanu reeves but i thought he did a good job. The animation made the movie even better, it was really cool to watch baked. I would recomend this movie it's really interesting.
i watched like half of it, was fairly good. but i had been smoking all day and was exhausted, so i fell asleep.

i liked how it looked, but the ending sucked, the best part was definatly the scene where robert downing jr buys the 18 speed bike

it was just oil i belive... the coke is lighter than the oil so it settles on the top

Ya I'm not sure if its realistic or not but the way he described it was that the cocaine crystals are light so they float to the top, giving him a grab of pure cocaine. I have no idea if that is real or not it is just what was in the movie

dont get me wrong ganjah, i think that the 'actors' that ive named have been in some of the best films ever made [matrix 1, fight club] and i dont go into a film expecting it to be rubbish based on whos in it. im not slating these guys work, im just saying that that these 'actors' only get the parts they get because of their looks and not due to their acting talents.

I watched up to the part where the guy gets pulled over and couldn't stand it, the animation style they did on it hurt my eyes and bugged the hell out of me and it's story line realy didn't grab me enough to get me to look past the style in witch they edited it.
