I've been to Mexico hundreds of times. I don't think you'd have a lot of trouble getting in with weed in your pocket. Mexico, atleast at the California border, doesn't really give a fuck who comes in. You will definatly be able to find some weed, crap weed though.

I was just down there for a week!

We managed to smoke every day using only what we bought down there. The weed was shitty but there was better stuff to be found. The stuff we bought off of the hotel staff was shit but it was mighty cheap. We bought some more expensive stuff from an outdoor market and that stuff was much much better, but still not what we are use to around here.

My suggestion (depending on what kind of place you are staying at) is to just ask local people at markets and outdoor vendors. We asked a bunch of people and those that weren't carrying didn't seem to mind. Another good idea, talk with other tourists around you. Chances are those that have already been there for a week probably have a connection.

I was about two hours south of Cancun. But what everybody is saying is true, if you act chill and respectful, you'll find some for sure. Most of the outdoor vendors sell pipes so just pick one up from the guy and they might even offer you some there.

I've always brought it in my carry-on, though I really wouldn't suggest that for most people. But I don't bring a pipe, so I always just buy a cheap one from the outdoor market (where I also go crazy buying sandals!) and the last time my husband went to buy one (while I was busy buying a belt!) the kid who sold it to him offered to "fill it for you man" and was really surprized to find out we brought our own. :jointsmile:

I once got busted with 2 joints in Mexico...it was while I was on a surfing/camping trip and the federales rolled up in the middle of the night. The searched and found a roach in the ashtray and was asking if me and my friend had more. They knew we had to have more. So, I gave up 2 of the joints I was hiding. They didnt take me to jail...they took all of the money I had...60$, they left me with 3$ for some tacos on the way out. As soon as they left, my friend broke out one of the other joints we had hidden and we got hiiiiiiigh. Fuck the police! even in other countries.

In cancun go to that huge ass flea market right before coco bongo and all that shit. I found the best weed from the cab drivers though. The last night I was there this cab driver that picked me up outside the bar knew a dude at that frog place I forget what the fuck it's called and he sold me a half oz. of some really really good mids for $40 american. We got so fucking faded because we had to leave to get on a plane at 10am and we were trying to smoke it all before we had to go. Ended up staying up all night with a bottle of patron and smoked the bag till it was gone as slowly everyone passed out untill it was just me and my buddy and this chick from the room next door. I was so high I didn't want to smoke anymore, but did it just to not waste any....god damn that was a fun trip...

You aren't gonna get shot in mexico. You can talk to anyone how you want. As long as you don't do anything in a threatening manner, you're fine.

If you do fuck up, you'll get a second chance $ with the federalis. If you are broke, or somehow fuck that up too, you'll get a third chance when you get to a jailhouse. There you can beg yourself out. Usually they hold you somewhere before taking you to a real 'prison'.
