it's more than 2 to 1 in favor of the question,,,but the word Drugs can mean Meth and Heroin too,,,still i would think that the kind of resources and money that is wasted every year should be enough for at least 50% to disagree with the so called "War on Drugs"

Go vote against it peeps, there is like 9000 votes there now...

i'd vote no even if it was only a war on hard drugs. prohibition based on the worst case scenario is asinine where victimless crimes are concerned.

It makes me crazy how almost every anti-drug campaign targets pot even if you think it is that bad there are so many worse drugs at at least now meth is starting to be talked down but I still dont get it why weed

Because weeds an easy target. A lot of people use ith because it's safe and natural. Can't say the same for meth or crack. I don't know the stats, but I would be willing to say more people use pot than manufactered drugs.

This war on drugs has done no good for the past many years, and it costs the country billions of dollars per. year to run it. Things have only gotten worse since it started.

So no, the war on drugs is BS and the drugs will never go away.

I do agree with getting rid of Meth though. I mean, they did it with Extacy and found another medical alternative for the deadly chem. found in the pills, and that worked well. In Canada, it was gone overnight because of the change in medicines.

They could do the same with Meth, and I'm sure they are trying. They just need to find a different alternative to the main chemical found in the junk.

In a way though, you have a large % of the country hooked on the stuff, and without it, it causes delusions and major paranoia. I'd hate to see those people go through withdrawls not having it. It would be chaos and things would get out of hand.

I'm not saying keep giving them their dope, hell, take it away. Let them go through withdrawl. I'm sure the police and such can take them down if they lose it.

Either way though, the war on drugs has been going nowhere, and it's only gotten worse. They need to find a better way on how to handle this.

I know, legalize cannabis! Look at the Netherlands, they only have a 2% hard drug user rate in their country, out of 14 million people. They say it's due to cannabis being so accepted.

me and my mom got in an argument over if cannabis was legal she would have nothing against it just like she has nothing against alcohol and cigarettes. i told her she is against cannabis just because that is the way that she was raised and that it is nonsense to be against it. but that didnt work well.

and i agree with nochowder

All drugs should be legal. I should be able to put anything i want in MY BODY. If i want to fuck my life up and become a drug addict i should be able to do so. I really dont think if drugs were made legal everyone would turn into a drug addict. We need to have a little more faith in ourselves. Let's raise our kids to think for themselves instead of doing what they are told is right or wrong. I think humans are smart enough to make a decision about drugs for themselves, and not have to have the government tell them which drugs they can do and which they can't.

No reason for a war on drugs. I agree with legalizeit. If there is a war on drugs it might as well be on EVERY drug.
