Are you talking about maps.google.com, or google earth? Maps is allright for getting general directions, but google earth is where its at. I like randomly zooming into some part of the world and cruising around the roads while baked. Good times

I'll paste these into earth later and see what comes up ;)

I use google earth when I go on some of my hiking trips. You can plan a trip a lot safer. I utilize coordinates in my life, more than most use their remote control.

I didn't see the giant bug...

And you can use maps.google.com, you just put the coordinates directly into the search box... but Google Earth is a lot better.

I've been wondering that myself. there's a few pics on there that just look photoshopped. I'm not sure how hard it is to hack google earth, but some of them look like they have been.

Las Vegas is done in such a fine resolution that you can see individual people. Here is a person standing in a parking lot: 36°10'16.02" N 115°08'19.07" W

What's so weird about the bomber? It was just flying over a neighborhood in Huntingdon. You know, the military does like to fly its planes around sometimes, and they won't take pains to avoid flying over your house. Keep in mind these are not all satellite pictures; a lot of the finer areas are done with airplane photography. This is just a photo that happens to have a lower-flying plane in its view.

Pardon my stupidity, i'm stoned and the idea of it capturing flying planes completely escaped my brain. I thought the bomber was stationary on the ground, inbetween all the houses LOL. I dont know how that would have happened, it couldnt have been towed there and it couldnt have crashed.

Anyway, i think that planes been decomisioned from the RAF. If it has it's not RAF flying it.

Well, didn't the plane seem a little...big? I mean, not very many people have houses that are only a fraction of the size of a bomber. :p

Not at the time, now i can see it, although we've got some damn big planes over here. Especially the older bombers. Bigger than ya would think.

When i was a lad i was in Air Cadets which is like training for the RAF. I've been flying in all sorts of aircraft, stupidily fast jets and hurculeses... and then we have helis like chinooks.

Apart from it being a bloody big plane, judging by the 4 propellers. I would like to think its at least a couple of hundred feet above the house, so yea perspective, would sort of explain the size difference.
