August 7, 1765: â??began to seperate (sic) the Male from the Female Hemp at Do â??rather too late.

There's no real evidence any of them actually smoked the herb. I love my cannabis activists, and I am one, but I think this is a stretch they came up with. ;)

However, it is quite true that they grew hemp! In fact, it was a huge crop at one point.

1619 Jamestown, Virginia the first law with marijuana is passed, it was a all farmer must grow herb law.
