my brotherinlaw plays this paintball you are speaking of, and he takes it very very seriously.....

do the little balls hurt when they hit you? does it make a mess? is it hard to clean up? i have never even seen it here in this part of canada..i know it is big in texas....

thanks for posting nik....

you have so much adrenaline going that you sometimes cant even feel the paint hitting you..
its easy to clean up too...
thats why when you play in tournaments like i do, there is a bunch of referees out there that watch you VERY close to see if you get hit, because a lot of people cheat in this game (when you are playing for a grand, come on)
ive wiped a hit in a finals game in front of the entire sideline and 3 head referees... it was awesome! lol

check out some of those videos surrey

lol.. yes they hurt like a son of a bitch.... adrenaline or not (anyone who says they don't has got to have like layers and layers of clothing, or the very basic walmart guns..)

i don't play (it's an expensive hobby/sport) but i have a friend who's deep into it with all his friends...

last i heard he'd already put like 400 into his tipman, and was planning another 1,000 overall...

the paint is pretty much water soulable (it's sweet too lol... ti's non-toxic... the coloring is mostly from food coloring, the coating is the same stuff on benadryl casules... special form of gelatin) not hard at all to clean up...

you could literally soak a shirt in the stuff for days, wash the shirt and it'd come out looking like it did just before throwing it in the paint.

that's gay.... tell them no sex unless htey let you play.... then play guys against girls, and back your shit up...whip their asses so you can rub their noses in it...

some tips (just incase)

find a place to play other then where they usually play.. if they're familiar they'll pretty much wehn no matter what...

go from cover to cover (hiding spots).. but don't seek cover in obvious places...

don't fire until you have a clear shot (paintballs break easy and the 'foooooooom' sound will instnatly give you away)

don't stick too close together... like shooting fish in a barrell...

don't be aggresive.. don't stay in one place but don't just go charging here and there... find cover, scout for a few seconds, listen for sound, then move again....

 do it right and you can't lose.

Thanks for the tips. I think it is BS too. I am a greay shot and am little and can tuck into hiding places. Maybe they are worried I would win

not really... there's even a 'how it's made' (discovery channel) on how they're made... what i said above is the truth...

Um eventually you just get so used to the pain that getting hit is almost like a pinch. And I garuntee you if you soaked a shirt in paint it wouldnt come out the same, ill post a pic of the bandanna that I wear.

odd... i've never seen stains o.0

does it say on the box/container they're water soulable? cuz all the ones my friends use are water soulable (can't remember the names of 'em) and well he's probably been shot like 50,000 times by now.... none of his clothes are stained (he just wears his everyday shit when he goes paintballing... lol they're also on a ladder/team w/e it's called.. one of the main opposing forces they play against is a group of fucking cops/swat members :D)

well the paint i use is tournament grade thats thicker and sticks to the fabric better so its harder to whipe. But some walmart paint is basically colored water that doesnt stain

Heres a couple group pics of the first indoor tourney I played at in 04. It was a three man tourney at JAW ltd in erie pa. I am the one in the blue diablo jersey.

I used to play piantball for 12 years team and everything, then I played pro airsoft and I never went back to the paintball feild again, I sold 5 tipman 98 and a whole bunch of extras like armor, ammo. After playing airsoft the way few here in america play their was no turning back. Airsoft im plenments everyaspect of real war combate from real wepons, airsupport (helcopters, rpgs, atv's, amor transport, tank, anti armor wepons, mines, gernandes, etc,). In airsoft snipers must be used and front line tactics as well, Scermishes are everything from extract to conflict recration, We also play an elite ruling here only out in the open these rules rarley are played in CQB. Elite rules make all members of the team medics, in which you have 30 seconds after your team mate falls to drag him/her to saftey and give life back to them buy an uniterrupted 13 second count. They gamae is very live and intense I have seen kids and grown ups alike run outta the coars once they realize a group of pepole is trying to hunt them, play or not airsoft is dangerous and without armor and head grear you will be giong to the hospital, we use guns which shoot in acess of 600 feet per sec. and they always punture the skin even at great distances, the rounds are not soft infact are very hard and the sniper rounds are the same size of a paintball round 8mm and they do not break and are also shot at up too 900 ft per second. Here is where I play and some bigger scermishes.

I have played a few times and loved it but it is too damn expensive. I can easily shoot over 100 bucks worth of balls in a day and in the end I would of rather bought a quarter of some goods and been high all week. But when I'm older and have a real job that can afford a nice gun and a few cases of paint every weekend I'll probably start going agian.

I agreee and Im still not satisfiyed thats why I switch to airsoft only about 10 buks a day and at the end its a big blur of fun and violance and no clean up unless your bleeding but if you covered up that dosent happen as much

I'm thinking about getting a steel rod the right diameter to fit tightly inside the barrel of a paintball gun, and drill a hole down the middle to fit 00 buckshot. I have a friend who works as a machinist who says he can do it, no problem. Anyone have an idea what the velocity of this would be? Obviously this could be increased by applying heat to the co2 or using a gas which builds more pressure, but I don't know how well the gun would hold up under increased pressure. Any thoughs on this, or the legality of all this?

ahhh why would u want to do this just use a shot gun or the shotty round, Machining for this is a waste of time, If your machining just make a sten or a shotty, wied question main, far better garage wepons than this hell even a patato gun is better.

all paintball guns are designed to be shot at 280 fps. I HIGHLY reccomend you don't do what you described. I can see some dumbass holding a lighter under an air tank and have the reg blow... also the internals of the gun can't handle much past 350 fps (if you have a cheaper Tippmann maybe 400 it starts having problems, but anything high-end is more sensitive and you will probably blow the internals). you won't get anything near the power of a shotgun just use that

If you heat up the co2 tanks to create more pressure it will blow the burst disk and let all of the gas out.

I've seen tanks that were cold form rapid firing being filled fully then the disk blowing up when they reheat, and all the gas spraying out. It happened twice in one day at the field one time the field owner was holding the tank, and the gas fucked up his hand pretty bad.
