I have had Tourettes since I was about 6/7 years old. My tics are neck twitching (head turns to the side and up in a jerking way), some weird rhythm tapping thing that makes my shoulders spaz, and back spasms. I have been on medication before but it alters my moods in a negative way (It makes me really pissy and I insult people alot... most of it is sarcastic, but it makes me angry too, and I am never angry when I am off the medication).
Marijuana has helped relieve me of the urge of the tics and helps my mind relax (Mental OCD), I was wondering if I would qualify for medical marijuana in the state of California. Tourettes and OCD are not specifically mentioned, but I do have muscle spams and it is a permanent condition :(
I thank all you:rasta: out there who can help me be :) and I could  in peace without having to worry about me looking like :stoned: and getting busted by
Thank you in advance,
Dr. Hashman

Hmm i dunno man, if its not it should. One of my friends has tourettes, and he smokes weed to lax it. It works very well, you can see a big difference.

My tourettes goes almost completely away when I smoke just once a day (at night usually). I have been clean for 3 days and its starting to come back hard :/
I'm stuck between a rock where I can have no tourettes by taking personality altering medication and make my parents happy, or I can have no tourettes and smoke at night when they are asleep but deal with the fact that they absolutely would kill me if they found out I'm smoking again.
I could just go around with twitches and tics and have everyone think I am crazy again :)

You should tell your mom or dad (whichever you think will be coolest about the conversation) exactly what you just posted.
Cannabis is very medicinal in many different ways.

Have you googled tourette's, cannabis? I know there is at least a couple of studies out there. And the California law reads "And any other chronic or persistent medical condition that either: (i) Substantially limits the person to conduct one or more major life activities as defined in the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990; and (ii) if not alleviated, may cause serious harm to the patient's safety or physical or mental health.
You qualify. What you need to do-Get a copy of your medical records. Go to NORML of California and look at their list of cannabis specialists. Get $100 to $250 together. Make an appointment. Take in your records. Pay the nice doctor. You are now "California legal". If you are under 18, my doctor will not recommend cannabis, unless both (or sole custodial) parent(s) agree to the treatment in writing. If you decide to grow, stay in compliance with the law! They are coming down hard in my county if you are out of compliance. I keep one plant less than I am allowed. - Granny:stoned:
