In short, posting other artists' music without permission is not permitted.

However, posters may still post links, pictures, etc of other artists and of course discuss their music.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation.

Links only,
Thanks.
Bob

These are more of your classic / folk / jam band types:

http://www.deadboots.com/
http://tela.sugarmegs.org/_asxtela/

Some others a friend sent me, I think they are techno / electronica:

http://www.freshlymixed.com/
http://www.dreamension.net/
http://www.samurai.fm/sonar/index.php

I used to have a lot more but they are dead links now.

If you like chill music with some cool acoustic guitars, then check this band out:

Six organs of admittance

Here are some of their best songs:

Procession of the cherry blossom
Lisboa
Saint Cloud
Words for two
Close to the sky
Hazy sf
You can always see the sun

So the next time you're about to smoke some ganja, do it and then listen to these songs. I doubt you'll be displeased.

This site is what I live by, personally. It's all free, live shows recorded and posted for others to enjoy. They've got file formats in mp3, shn, or flac, so the quality is pretty good.

I'd look into torrents though yeag. It's the best quality and you can download full shows/albums a lot faster and more accurately than from some p2p site. Just my :twocents:

Hahaha don't talk to me about posting intelligently pontiff ;)

I'm just saying, you're probably not going to find enough of what you're looking for, and torrents and sites like archive are probably your best bet.

And technically, I posted "a website full of songs" and "just a site to go steal some tunes from," so read my post more carefully so YOU can post intelligently. Just trying to help out, no need for a hostile pontiff JUST yet =)

This is a sweet 4/20 show from a pretty righteous band, and you can stream the show or click on an individual song rather than downloading them, so it's good for listening to at work. Definitely worth listening to. http://www.archive.org/details/pgroove2005-04-20.flac16

Here's another 4/20 show from String Cheese, so take a look at this if you so desire.

my favorite way to get new music is turn on stream ripper and go to sleep with the volume down, come back to a few 100 songs of a particular genre in my music folder ;)
