I dont like Wii's. Theyre just one step towards our eventual fate of being controlled by robots. Yeah they sense your movements when your playing but before long they'll be able to tell when you're asleep so it can launch it's deadly assault and CONTROL YOUR BRAIN!!!

i just dont' like Wii... period. sure it's a good price for a new system and all, but i've seen what i has to offer and i really don't like it, even more so now that i've seen quite a few diffrent titles in play.... i've also seen how retarded people look while playing the game... i'm sorry, but whoever i see playing with a Wii just reminds me of a mentally challanged 10 year old... i probably wouldn't have a whole lot of problem with the Wii, if it weren't for the controller, i really dont' like it's design and how it works to begin with, then second of all this controller really does limit the interaction between games and stuff, sure if you're reeling in a 10lb fish you're gonna have to swing the controlller harder then if you were reeling in a 5 lb. fish, but that's about the level the interaction stops... i'm into games like prince of persia, god of war, medal of honor, you know fps and puzzle games... and with a controller design like that, it would really limit the in-game capabailities.
atleast as long as they are designing games around this controller... imo the controller shouldn't be the spectacle of the Wii (which it is and we all know it is) nice technology, but you shouldn't really base everything off it... they should concentrate on making the games first, then deciding how the controller will fit into it all. the controller should be just a bonus to the system, not the basis for the whole system.

they should bring out normal controlers too.. not just those weird tv remote style looking ones..

i always wonder what they're gonna do next.. i mean look at video game history
from shit like space invaders and paper boy
then suddenly N64 comes out, 3d.. proper 3d... imagine how excited everybody was about it (even tho its not so exciting now)
then ps1.. and it was like "OMG"
then ps2 xbox and gamecube... which turned it up a notch
now this.. with consoles like xbox 360 tht on plasma tv's.. look pretty much close to real life
its just every few years these companys will realease new consoles that are just turned up a bit.. but what are they going to do in the next few years? i mean its gotta stop at some point
and i dont know why people make such a big deal out of it too.. i mean, its a video game.. video games have been around for years.. only difference is the videos games look a little bit prettier.. lol, these companys make it such a hype that alot of people feel the need that they HAVE to have one.. its pretty lame imo.. im fine stickin with my old skool consoles for now myself

I want a Wii. But the news done a thing on it where people have been playing it and their hands get sweaty and the controller flying out of there hands and right into the tv. My husband would die if his prized widescreen had a controller right in the middle of the screen because I got carried away with myself while playing. But i still want it.

"The Classic Controller cannot be used to play games for the Nintendo Gamecube. According to the Nintendo Online Shop, the Classic Controller can only be used with Virtual Console games"
i take it by virtual console games it means old school snes and N64 games that you download from the console.

also another thing thats retarded.. on 360's you cant use old xbox controllers.. only the new ones.. my mate has a 360 but cant play it due to the controller bein broken.. its obvoius they only made it compatible with the new controllers so they can make more profit.. and the 360 can only play SOME xbox games.. what kinda shit is that?
and as physco said wii are just trying to make the controler the main part of the "hype".. the graphics on the wii dont even look that good.. hell the old generation xbox and ps2 look better then that shit.

Yeah, I read that after I posted...
But hey, you can also turn the remote sideways and use it like a controller. Thats how its used with some games in fact, like excite-truck.

i'm going to get it one to have in my lounge room for when my mates come over. i like to entertain and stuff, so quite a few people drop by to hang out.
the Wii is simple and practical. pick up and play.
although i'll also pick up the ps3 just to play mgs4. (i only bought the ps2 to play mgs2).

I will get a wii. Maybe not this xmas, but def by xmas next year. I've been waiting for the Wii for what feels like years. I've stopped playing my PS2 just because Ive played all the games. I dont want an xbox or PS3 because again, I've played all of the games. Might be a new character, but they're all either an fps, or a platformer or just a button masher. Same game, same controls, same bosses. just Diff sounds and graphics. The Wii is the next level in gaming. The xbox and PS3 are on the same level as thier prior units, they're just standing on a step-ladder wearing a costume claiming to be something new.

Wii reminds me of the snes action pad or w/e that stupid thing was for track and field, seems more like a gimmick than the newest Nintendo, kind of silly imo, people don't want to be interactive, they want to sit on their asses and kill shit

well i picked up a 26" hdtv for my dorm room on black friday...had to go for the xbox 360 to take advantage of the 1080i. I think the Wii is a cool idea, but nintendo really shouldve gone further with the graphics. I mean the original xbox can do 720p, and the Wii does the same resolution as the gamecube.

The problem is that us gamers who have been around since tha atari/nes days are sick of just sitting around not moving. We have shit like high blood preassure and bills to worry about now. Plus we don't all 5 hours of dedicated time to play a game. For me and my buds, geting to play wii golf or bowling may be the closest thing we we get to doing the real thing for a while. The wii might not have the best graphics, but I don't have an HD tv and don't plan on getting one soon (unless I win the lotto) so the Wii is fine by me. I see the PS3 and xbox as being the next thing you see in a celebs care, but for the every day joe with kids and other problems. a wii will the the easiest choice. It's cheap, kids friendly, fun, and oh yea did I mention cheap?

I don't think you get that the controller is the entire concept of the system... I've played a demo, and it's fun as hell, I could see it being a favorite past time of stoners, it has to be great whilst high.
And it being bad with FPSs? Yeah, who would want to be able to aim the gun like an actual one, rather than moving the view with sticks?
Don't get me wrong, I love normal video games, but this new system is great fun.
Shit, if I had an extra 300 layin around, I'd get it, but I'm happy with my 360 for now.

PS3 is pretty shit man, sorry. :(
Graphics are no greater than 360, and so many of the games are on both systems. I guess if you really want a Blu ray player for cheap (600 is cheap..lolllll).
