just cause you didnt succeed your first time doesnt mean you should give up. if you dont want fat buds covered with crystals all for your self and virtually free, then i would give up to.

Bummer about the plants, man. You gotta watch that sh*t, though, man. Just glad that light didn't break and burn your house down.
Don't let it get you down, though. Like SantaCruz said, if you don't want it, don't do it. But if you ARE going to do it, try to do it right. And SAFE. Most important is safe.
But, hey, at least you're not alone. This is probably the 10th time (at least) in the short time I've been here that I've heard of someone dropping the lights on their plants. I just guess I don't really see how that could happen, but it does apparently. You gotta secure them suckers. And take care while moving them.
Well, good luck next time. Check out my thread if you wanna see how 'I' did it. (I didn't do it)
Did you ever post any pics? I don't remember.
Hey, Chicago_white_guy...that's a strange sig. Where'd you get that? ;)

If you already have the equipment, I don't think there is really any hassle. And the cost of buying could be hundreds of times more expensive in the long run.
Next time, try hanging the light in a fixed position, then safety chain it through eyebolts, bolted to a sturdy shelf. Don't move the light. Move the plants up and down.
Trust me (because we know each other so well, right)...getting seeds and getting them to germinate are the biggest hassles.

all right, heat control is sometimes a hassle...but overall, it's all less of a hassle then dealing with dealers.

Just calm down and assess the situation and fix whatever is broken and give it another go. We have faith in your ability to succeed.
