New to this... oz/grams = how many buds etc?

Hey, I just started smoking and I don't know how the measurements go... how much do you usually get in a gram, an ounce, etc? Basically how many nuggets do you usually get and how long would it last? I don't know how to roll, I only use a pipe, and I only take 3 or 4 hits... Am I making sense? LOL I feel like a dumbass :p :confused:

its all done by weight, ive gotten 1/8ths in one nug, or 10+nugs

LOL i know a gram is a gram :p i just mean i wanted to know what the general amount of weed you get in a gram - how many joints you could usually roll I guess? i know, i'm a retard. lol:o

you cant mesure how many grams it takes for a joint, ive rolled joints that are realy small "ie less weight " and ones that are big "more weight" also with a pipe or something , all bowls arnt the same size, one way to tell if your getting what you pay for is to buy a scale or just get used to eyeballing it "once you smoke more"

You know hes speaking in generality. Usually you can roll two nice joints with 1gram. .5 is a good amount for people just starting to smoke.

28.3 is generally accepted as an ounce, ounces are a US measurement and grams are metric, nothing converts well between the two systems, thus depending on which method you use to convert the numbers will vary.

example: 16 ounces is not exactly 28.3*16=452.8 g it is actually 453.5924

Everyone here first assumes a new poster is male. Forget looking at the screen name and realizing this is either a girl or someone who likes to be called one.

Anyway, since you said you usually smoke out of a pipe, I can usually pack 2-4 bowls with a gram of weed. Granted though all those bowls are packed for two. You could maybe expect 4-6 bowls with a gram if you are smoking alone.

Can I make an early morning (still sleepy) suggestion? Why not go down to you local health food store and buy some parsley? My HFS has VERY nice digital scales (I lust after them) and you could see what a quarter oz of "dried, leafy material" would look like. Parsley is also very good for you- has vitamin A and a load of minerals- just put some in any meaty dish to boost it's nutritional level a bit.- (A rather sleepy) Granny Storm Crow

Since you use a pipe a gram is generally about 3 decent bowls, so an eighth should be about 10-12 bowls, and you can use your math to answer the rest. For a joint, it really depends on how big of a joint you're rolling, you could probably make a gram into 2 decent standard sized joints.

0.3 grams is only a decent bowl?? I smoke usually 0.1 in a bowl and I'd say that makes a decent bowl.

Well, now you should pretty much know the terms used to describe verious amounts of marijuana. Standard prices should start with $15-20/gram, $50-60/8th, $100-115/quad, 300-360/ounce, and an absolutely sick amount of money that nobody should ever spend for a kilo. My bowl's are usually roughly around .2-3, but what I meant was a gram should be atleast around 3 bowls. I can usually get my grams into about 4 bowls, but it also depends on what you're smoking out of. Bongs usually tend to have a larger bowl than a small pipe, I don't think I could get 10 bowls out of a gram though.
