I'm so used to waking up at 5:00 a.m. every morning that I automatically woke up at 5:00 a.m. this morning, even though I didn't have to and I didn't set my alarm clock.
I wish I could go back to sleep but I can't. Once I wake up, I'm up for the whole day.

yeah i have a digital internal clock, but i think it pissed me off one day and i broke it... cuz there hasn't been any routine in my sleeping habbits in like the last 15 years...
oh yeah, i hate getting woke up only to not be able to go back to sleep... nothing can put me in a worse mood, you wanna piss me off the whole day, wake me up after about 3-4 hours of sleep...

I can run for days on little sleep its pretty handy. BUT i really enjoy a good night sleep... I also have the same deal. Getting woken up early is the worst thing in the world to me...

I wake up every day at 5:30 am without fail or the use of an alarm clock. I wish I could sleep longer but it just doesn't happen. Even if I goto bed later at night, I still wake up at 5:30. So I get up and turn on the pc to read what is going on in the digital world and see if maybe someone posted something on this web site that was not a teenybopper question.
So far today I have found two posts that were not childish in origin, this is the other one.

If i look at the clock befor i go to sleep i can say "ok i can get 8 hours" and i wake up in time. When i cook evrytime somthing hits the stove a little timer starts in my head, and i think ok time to flip, or stir. unless i'm stoned, then all bets are off and i sleep till noon, and burn the toast i was making at 2 in the morning.

Anybody ever wake up just before the alarm goes off? Happens to me all the time, I wake up about 3-5 seconds before the alarm sounds.

Yes, my brain wakes me up at 5:30 on weekdays and 8:00 on the weekends. It never fails.

since this is mainly about sleep, waking up due to a clock ticking inside and you blah blah blah....
anyone ever go to sleep, and wake up every single hour on the dot, all night long? it's happened to me quite a few times... like i fall asleep at 4:30, i'll wake up at 5:30, 6:30, 7:30... ect ect..

yes, and i have finely tuned it to my advantrage.
i used to get up for work at 7 am on the weekends and school on weekdays at 7 am for about four years. my body got used to this and i would end up waking up at 7 am regardless of whether or not i really needed to.
then i went to a differnt school and my schedule changed dramatically. i would wake up at 7 am as usual and not be able to fall back asleep. so i would set my alarm and fall asleep concentrating on what time i really wanted to wake up, how many hours i had to sleep before awakening. eventually i ended up not waking at 7 am, but about 10 minutes before i actaully wanted to awake. i figured it was a psychological tick in the back of my mind while i was sleeping-sorta like falling alseep concentrating on fruit then dreaming about bananas and mangos. so i started taking naps and waking at different times every day, concentrating on the time i wanted to wake and the hours between when i fell asleep.
a few years later,i can fall asleep and about 70% of the time wake about 10 minutes before i want to, whether its 7 am, 3pm or 12 midnight. it works eerily well. especially when i nap during the day. sometimes i dont even use an alarm because i usually awaken before it goes off, and my waking scedule varies evry few days.

my internal clock is stuck on 4:20, 24/7 lol
nah just playin, but yea i actually do on a smaller scale. i wake up at like 7:30 every day and almost everyday i wake up at about 7:20ish, like just before when i normally wake up.
its actually cool how the body works like that, i would have no trouble sleeping till noon every day though if my alarm clock didnt work lol.
