since i couldnt say anything back concerning your thread before you closed it

plz allow mw to speak in my own

this thread was a simple expression of my opinion, and you guys for the most part couldnt handle someone having an opinion different than yours...i find that ridiculous...i am closing this thread as it has turned into a nasty pissing contest....i am shocked at some of you here...you want respect but cant give it....ridiculous

hold on.... its not like that, and i said "i already dont use it much"

but there is no right or wrong answer here, you gave a opinion asking for others opinions and i gave mine "respectably"

if you cant respect that, then you are guilty of "not handling some elses opinion" as you say in the above quote

i do respect your opinion.... and do not cause a profanity issue, but im just saying that there is a thing called "freedom of speech" which shouldnt be infringed upon

c'mon i respected yours, now plz respect mine as well, dont be a hypocrite to what you post

There is no freedom of speech that applies here; this isn't a publicly-funded website. This is the virtual equivalent of someone else's home. It's nice that the owners allow us to come into their virtual home and discuss things of common interest. That doesn't mean they must give up all their rights, one of which is the right to make the rules they deem suitable. You wouldn't like it if people told you what rules you had to follow in your own home (or on websites that you operate). That's one of the perks of private ownership: YOU get to make the rules regarding those things you own. If you don't want profanity in your home, you can make that rule, and if your kids don't follow the rules, they can move out. They don't get to cry 'censorship', and they don't get to vote on whether your rules are fair or not. Same thing here.

LOLz,,,I bet she wanted to swear in that last post... I don't blame her for being upset,,, people say shit to invoke a reaction, instead of just speaking their true feelings sometimes...

regardless of freedumb of speech, this is a PRIVATE board. You have a register to come here. If you cant follow the rules and requests of the administrators, LEAVE. Simple as that.

FINE YOU WIN.....

but my point is ..... its not a rule and i do obey the rules here

and pipedreams, as far as "freedumb" goes..... people fought and died for that , and others like myself are still politically fighting for it
maybe you should have alittle more respect for the word

jamstagator, you proved a valid point and i have no problemwith admitting when ive lost....

your win

Im just saying I think what we can say on ths board is already too heavily monitored, but I do agree with attempting to halt some of the young gangbangers coming on and throwin language around for no reason.

My two cents.

I respect the word, just not the government that claims to be based of freedom.

I completely agree with the freedom of speech arguement! But then likewise, having to moderate a website........we also maintain the freedom to shine up the tips of our boots from time to time when someone abuses their freedom to offend others intentionally. :D

Have a good one!

yes... we are in full agreement of that, but then again we need to go to politics on that one:thumbsup:

youre right, i myself am a "freedon fighter" and paid member of acouple org. that are fighting for real freedom "not this give up your liberties and we will protect you" BS

but like i said..... different topic

problem solved, i just didnt look at it as a private board and such....but yes i agree and im usually the one talking about how proud we should be that this is a "free board"

so yes i agree count me on your team:thumbsup:
Ronjohn

PS... surreys princess, sorry about the misunderstanding (im sure youre still reading in the shawdows somewhere)

I wasn't out to 'win' or make you 'lose', nothing like that. You were just seeing the issue from one perspective, but there are two sides to everything. I was just trying to point out the other side of this issue. I don't actually have a clue as to what ANY of the rules are for this particular site. I guess I haven't broken too many though, because Psycho4Bud hasn't hit me with an Option B yet. ;)

bend the rules until they break, and
hold your ground until it shakes:thumbsup:

I bet those who claim they have a right to set thier own rules dont feel the same when it comes to those who set cannabis use rules, and expect them to follow them. i have a feeling those who claim to be "rule setters", are the first to say, "fuck cannabis rules/laws/regulation", and continue to use it

imo, asking others to stop using the word , fuck, seemed idiotic.
thats like asking people to stop using cannabis.
i dont meant the person who made the request is an idiot. even very bright well meaning people say idiotic things. but...we just gotta be able to use the word, fuck, without being accused of being nonrespectful. we just gotta.

true but its not our house to make the rules.....
although (unless p4b finds me wrong) it is not a rule that we cant, so untill the rule is made we can, i personally just choose to use them in moderation

People, it's not about swearing now and then. It's the constant crap like a thread starter "fuck, fuck, fuckity fuck". Or if your vocabulary only consists of this word. If your posting and use the "words of curse", as South Park would call it........BIG DEAL! But a constant thing is B.S.!

As for daima........we don't appreciate being pushed/stalked, just like any other member!!

i understand and thats where this came in

and it doesnt matter if "thats where youre coming from" or not
FREEDOM DOES EXIST:

and no matter her point (which i fully understand)
you still have to count that freedom

skink i think youre a cool cat and dont want to start this with you (a flame war)

but just cause a thread is closed doesnt mean everyone is just shut out, thats just another example of making rules again

i also have the freedom to make my own thread and retort with my response

plus. if i hadnt made this thread we wouldnt be talkin:thumbsup:
