I'm having a tough time with the guy who hooks me up. He always says it's "chronic". I agree it gets me there but I've had better.

And it's true that if the smoke isn't that bad I shouldn't complain, I do want to know what I'm smoking though. Any way for me to find out what strain it is? I don't want to ask the guy. He's always available and the prices are fair. I don't want to make him more paranoid than he already is with a bunch of questons since I know he's "prone to commit"..

I could go to other guys but that would just be exposing myself to more people and in this community it's hard to navigate since we don't have people on street corners. Small town, heavy hands to go with the long arm if you get my meaning..

It wouldn't be a problem but it just seems the prices are staying the same and the bags have been looking smaller for same size/density bud. Waiting for a digiscale to prove it either way.. I haven't had to mingle with many people so I don't know the etiquette for keeping hookups in check.

Any advice from you vets would be much appreciated.

try and grab a scale if you truly think the bags are getting smaller. other than that i wouldn't know about the strains. are you paying regular price or the price for good bud?

He probably doesn't even know what strain it is himself, unless he grew it himself. And there's really no way to look at some buds and say what strain it is. You can tell if it's more Indica than Sativa or whatever, but beyond that, well, there are hundreds or thousands of different strains, and many look very much like many others.

Prices are pretty decent though, at least compared the prices in my area. If it got me pretty high for that price, I wouldn't rattle the dude's cage too much, especially since you're in a small town and hookups probably aren't that easy to find. I'd definitely make sure you're getting the weight you're paying for though.

Prolly just kind bud (KB)...generic good weed...better than regs and mids, but not really a strain.

I was content before, but the count seems to be going bad. All the other guys I can go to are the younger "rapper thugg" types. I'm in my 30s and I don't want to learn a new language to stay enhanced.

Since I'm financially stable and value savvy I don't get small quantities.. Being approached by a new guy, talking about 28g+ weights would make the alarm bells ring if I was holding and looking at somebody old enough to be my dad with a clean haircut driving a minvan ;). I guess I may have to make new friends if buddy proves to be pinching..

You can always smoke someone out before you buy from them. That should help prove your cool..

If your able to...grow your own....don't have to mess with people and then you can rip them off!
That's the conclusion i came to after a while.
good luck:smokin:

Im the same way I always like to know what strain im smoking. Sometimes if im high by myself and have nothing better to do I will figure it out. I have cannabible 1,2, and 3 so what I do is look through and try to match my bud to some of the samples they have (not easy as the buds in the pics are much nicer). When I find something that looks close I read the smoke report and compare, then i check smokers guide to make sure. Does that make me obsessed, yer god damn right it does.

^^ If I had the cannabible I would probably do the same thing.

I think it is a good thing a lot of times to not know the strain...if a guy is trying to sell you blueberry or some exotics the price will reflect that. If hes trying to sell you some standard BC or other types of pretty good bud you have a bit of an advantage. The prices you listed are not bad if its the type of bud you described. If you demand a strain name they will either make one up or randomly assign a name. And then you might have to start paying for their BS name. I used to sell "Russian Black Hair" AKA Schwag.

Maybe you could tell your hookup that you need him to break it up into 8ths or something, so that he will bust out his scale w/o you casting doubt upon what he is trying to sell you.

Don't strain your brain! The only time strain recognition is important is when obtaining seeds for a grow so that you'll know the life cycle, yeild and appearance of what you're about to grow. After harvest you either end up with stuff that works or doesn't, what it' called has little or no consequence.

Thanks for all the insight guys. I guess my concern for identifying the bud is so I could understand why the bags seem smaller. If he was breaking off some amazing strain it would justify maybe the count being low. Everytime that bag seems smaller and smaller and I don't have the tools to check for myself. I was at the deli counter at the supermarket today and I was *ITCHING* to throw the 1/4 on the scale but I was surrounded by people!

And I know some of you guys may be thinking "well maybe it's in your head, maybe you smoke more than what you did.." . That isn't the case at all, I'm a jay-a-day smoker. I only go over when there is an occassion and I usually buy extra for the company.

Again much thanks to the forum regulars for stopping and and lending me their wisdom.

If your only dealer is starting to short you bit by bit. I'd recommend watching him weigh it out in front of you. If he doesn't weigh it out just be like, hey, "Wanna hook me up with anoyther gram?" Then just throw your bag on his lap and be like, "Just add it into here man." That might work, but as I type this it sounds more and more retarded. Just ask him if all else fails man. If its straight, he wont complainan.

Just found out, his "nickle" which around here is 1/4, weighed in at 6.2 grams.
I compared it to somebody else's I work with and his is much better.. So he's guna start getting halfs and we'll split it up..

I think the best solution to my problem would be to stop going all together. When we see eachother again I'll just be honest and tell him I found a better deal.
