Hey you Texans, I am thinking about relocating to your fine state and am trying to get a handle on your cultivation and possession laws. From what I understand you guys are under weight guide lines and not plant numbers? From what I remember growing over 2 ounces of MJ up to like 49LBS is the same as possession of 2 oz or more and the jail time is???
Well My daughter lives in FW and have a friend in D and another in SA, so what is a central area to those points? I have been checking out property around Marcus and the housing prices are awesome, in my state a 3 bd 2 bt will run you about $220000 on average and that is for under 1500 SQF. down there I am finding the same set up for half the cost.

Well, I'm down here in Austin now. I'm orginally from Longview. Texas is a great place. The cost of living is lower, but pay is also on the lower end. Unless you have a good profession. Yes, there are lots of folks down here that smoke weed and listen to country music. You should know that "them boys from Oklahoma roll their joints all wrong." I would suggest Austin...HUGE weed scene, good jobs, and AWESOME social scene...but I could be a little biased because I love this place....

I def want a MJ seen, but I don't want to deal with the thug thinggy. I don't want to worry about people trying to tag me and threaten the safety of my family, but I have also learned that if you don't associate with that crowd you may never know they exist. I don't want to have to search for a month to find a sack or search for a month to find someone who needs a sack.
I like family things and doing things with family and friends that everyone can enjoy. I like to respect and help people and like the same for mine when needed.
Do you get allot of grow op busts in Austin? Where I am at now we hardly get any and it is nice.

San Marcus has Texas State...Austin has the University of Texas...

Austin has an mj scene apart from thugs...I've never been to Cali...but I think the area around the school is comparable...tons of headshops all within walking distance, and most are not franchise type places, ie they are mostly owned by aging hippies.

Houston is probably the greatest example of a thug scene, although Houston is very large and what is true in some parts is the complete opposite in other parts.

I'm from San Antonio, its a really great town in my opinion. The MJ scene is rather limited, lots of ordinances on head shops which prohibit them from selling much of anything. But it does have other perks, some of the Best public schools are in S.A., especially on the North side of town. It is developing very quickly, and like you said property values are very reasonable compared to other parts of the country. The police in SA are also pretty reasonable, I've known many people that have received only warnings for minor possessions. Major possessions are a different story...Texas is pretty tough on growers.

I'm not to familiar with the Dallas/FW area but I think it is a lot like Houston. Different parts of the city are very different from each other.

I'm liking San Marcos more then I was a few days ago, lol...Honestly I'm broke as shit and can't find a job in the market flooded by college kids, so I've had to resort to doing shitty temp service type jobs every few days just to stay high. I grew up in a little town called Stamford near Abilene. I was out of Texas roaming around the mid west and west coast for about a year, and just never really missed Texas much.
