hey for all you proud owners of the vapor bros box vaporizer, ive got a question. lately a weird smell is coming from the box when its being heated up. the smell appears to be coming straight from the metal tip of the protruding piece. im not sure what this is but it almost smells like burning rubber or something, its freakin me out too because if this thing is breaking im gona kill myself.

any help appreciated. :stoned::smokin:

From what I've read about vapes, Fan O, there's usually some industrial lubricant or a thin layer of oil or some other factory coating that has to burn off the heating element and sometimes other surfaces the first few times you use it. Even a light layer of dust can give off an odor like that. Keep heating up the vape a few times more and see if the odor continues. If it does, maybe there'll be a toll-free customer service number you can call somewhere in the instructions.

yea thing is ive had it for months, and i only noticed this smell last night, then again today for the second time so im not sure. customer service sounds like a good idea but i have no receipt number or anything like that, not to mention im only 16.

Hmmm, that is curious. Well, if you don't have the instruction booklet that came with it, sometimes you can find their Web site and hook up with customer service that way. Might take a little investigating. But your age shouldn't stop you . . . .

Is it that electrical smell that sometimes happens when a cord is shorting out? (If you've smelled that odor before, that is.)
