Please help me! wet weed.....

Ok I'm getting a 1/4 in a bit , buit it still needs to be dried ...How can I dry this stuff out properly, in the shortest time possible. without loosing it potency?? Can someone please respond to this?

Why are you buying it wet? Or is it straight off the plant? Either way I would just throw it in a jar.

eeeeee---not a easy thing ----but do you have a dehumidifier in the house?
if not a blow dryer is the safest ___dont micro or oven it
---cut it up into bowl sized peices this really speeds it up --loose any big stems they hold alot of moisture--- set it all on some sort of grill so air can pass over it--put the dryer on low and fan them for a while ..its the safest

Surely you're not getting it right off the plant..

But anyways, just leave the baggie or container open for a couple hours, checking it periodically. Just make sure you don't keep it closed up in something without any airflow.. it could cause mold. I actually got some damp weed last week (he gave me more than my 1/8 I requested because he knew the weed was damp, so the scales would be off a little.. i <3 my dealer).. anyways.. I just let the baggie sit open for like 2-3 hours.. and after that, I was good to go. No loss in potency from what I could tell.

ther is nothing wrong with fresh plants ---most sharks KEIF nugs and you could never tell---when its wet usely the thc is thicker

Put it in a paper bag (open) in a dark closet. Small pieces is better than large - more surface area = quicker drying. Keep checking on it and rotating it, shuffling it around.

Dry it like that for several days (I know this is not a 'quick' method, but the best one). When it is sufficently dry, then you can put it into a ziplock back or glass jar. Then, you still have to open the jar/bag at least once a day to release stale air any any chemicals that are produced during curing.

After about another week or so, it should be dry and cured well enough to start smoking. Take out only as much as you need and continue to cure the rest of it. Best to cure in a Dark place as light damages the trichomes/thc.

Why are you buying it wet? What are you paying for it. Depending on 'how wet it is,' I would not pay more than 1/2 to 2/3 of the price seeing as you will be losing mad weight after drying it properly. Do not get ripped off, man.

Edit: I did this a short time ago with some wet weed I got without my knowledge, and it was crappy when I first smoked it but kept getting better and better. After a few weeks, it was the SH*T! :D Drying and curing your own bud is the best, but you gotta make sure you aren't paying too much either.

i buy weed not water lol ,
let the crook thats selling it to you dry it . that or get 2 to 3 times wet weight to compensate for loss from evaporation .

If you choose to buy it, don't pay full price of a 1/4, pay only about 25% of the original cost.

Just leave the wet buds in an open, dry, dark area. Heat and light degrades THC, so avoid measures where heat oir light is used.

true, what lip said its a rip off if you get it 3.5 and when its dry it might only be about 2.3 or something, depends

best way, what i do put it in the microwave 2-5 seconds should sort it out :)

just recure the bud, sitck it in a mason jar for a few days
or u can put it in a tupperware bowl and burp it every few hours, but u gotta burp it or the stale air will mold it

ok...I should have read this whole thread before I did anything, I put it on a cookie sheet and put it in the oven for 2 and a half minutes on each side, it came out dry,,,but it was fucked, cause it gave me and the wife a bad headache, and today we both feel like utter shit...I did put some aside and let it dry in a cool dry place...it looks a lot better then the otther oven stuff did.

I did buy the stuff sort of damp, the guy I bought it off of grew his own plant and doesn't have a proper place to dry it (his roomate doesn't know he grew a plant), and I didn't pay full price for the 1/4 I paid $25 for it, but I think I still got ripped off...I normally wouldn't buy weed like this but lately its been hard to find good weed, or any weed :(

One more question: I don't think he flushed the plant properly hence me and the wife feeling like shit the next day...do poorly flushed plants make you sicK? or was just because I dried it like a dumb ass in the oven?

Sucks you guys got sick. He very well could have not flushed it enough, but I think part of what you were smoking that wasn't right was the chlorophyll and other things that did not chemically convert themselves during the curing process.

I got a bag like that a little while back that was moist as hell, and smelled WEIRD. I was pissed. I couldn't smoke it, but I had read some stuff and decided to do what I posted in post #8 up ^there^. It dried, and I started smoking it. It was alright, burned, but didnt taste right and didn't get me high right. I don't think I got sick, but it definitely wasn't right.

I saved a big bud of it and cured it properly over a couple of weeks. It started feeling better and better, smelling better & better, and by the time I finally ran out of some other weed I had gotten, it tasted AWESOME and got me SO high. It didnt have any of the weird chemical smell to it and it burned smooth, not like before...I was sold.

Dry and cure properly...you will be happy...

I know your right :) I should have waited and listened to the advice, but in my defence it was my day off with the wife (we barely get days off together) and she was already getting impatient with me when I checked for response twice in that day. but if there is a next time I will definately follow the advice everyone so kindly gave :D :D :D :D :D

How much are you paying for this quarter? Because if it says 7g on the scale wet it will be like 3-4g or less dry. So dont get ripped.
