Sooooooos hows a little help

Hi new to the site and have a couple questions. How do you tell the sex of a plant and how old/ tall does it need to be to do this? Females are the only ones that bud??? I keep seeming to get differnt answers and this seems like to place to find out. thanks

To answer the last question, yes females are the only ones that bud. As for sexing, females start to show sex by growing pistils (light colored 'hairs' that grow at the juncture of stem and offshoot). Males show sex by growing pollen sacs at the same juncture- they look like balls. here's a link of some pics so u can see for urself. http://www.marijuana-seeds.net/malefemale.htm
also, just look thru the posts on this site, lots of people post pics of their plants asking others what the sex is.
