press the button that looks like a flower, then try taking the pic. good for close up pics

ease the shutter release button slowly ... most digital cameras' auto-focus feature engages at half-way on the shutter release. .. it takes a few micro-seconds to focus (longer in the dark), then push the rest of the way, until camera takes the shot ... :smokin:

You need to put it on the Macro setting, which is the little flower icon.

Try reading the cam. manual, that's a good start. :thumbsup:
