I'm noticing something in a lot of headshops these days, self described "snuff" products.

I was of the understanding that snuff hasnā??t been used since the 1700's. Is it on its way back? Is there some cannabis use that I'm missing? Are they for other drugs?

I really hope that I haven't missed some new development within the stoner culture; I don't want to feel old.

"Snuff," as I understand it, is powdered tobacco which is snorted. The only way I know about it is studying the 18th century during college. I had no idea it is still used.

wtf? how does snorting tobacco have any effect on you? it's just tobacco dust being put directly onto your brain.

As I remember it was a fashionable thing for ladies to use in Europe. It would "clear your head" and was thus also prescribed as a sinus medication.

They did a lot of strange things with tobacco when it was new to Europe, make it into tea, eat it, ect.

you do tghat shit its like smoking 8 cigs to your head. Major downfall though is it turns your snot brown, and if you have a runny nose you look goofy as hell.

the old hillbillies do this in the mountains but they dont snort it they use it like chewing tobacco. just put it in the lip or jaw between teeth and let it soak and spit the juice. its nasty and makes a mess. when i lived in the hills i would see old ppl with brown stuff dripping out the side their mouth

snuff was most commonly used by the miners in northern britain who couldnt have a toke down the mines for fear of explosions.as a kid my grandad god bless his soul used to sort me a tin out now and then. i once did too much and puked my guts up and once gimme mate some for a laugh and told him to have a greedy blast. i thought he was gonna die his eyes were raw as fuck sos kev. anyweay tobbaco can be taken in numerous ways eg1 blown up your arse through a straw. jus go carefull on the brown stuff:) :) peace out blud

stevie nicks of fleertwood mac fame once famously asked some guy to blow sniff up her arse.not sniff her arse although i would have eaten her shit back in the day so why not bacca. its supposed to be nice dont fancy either much myself though.

one of my friends had an old can of this when we were in high school, and we got one of our other friends to try it. he snorted it up his nose, it started running brown snot and then bleeding, and then he puked. it was awesome. i highly recommend it!

^^^lmfao.....I was watching Maximum Exposure on tv and they had a snuff competition in Germany and people were filled in this room shoving as much snuff up their nose as they possibly coulkd....the lady who won made a special machine that she put the stuff on the end and it was like a little teeter totter and she would hit the other end making the snuff like fucking cram up her nose lol...dirty ass germans =)

Most of the snuff products sold at headshops are for cocaine use also.

I remember doing some snuff in a bar in germany, a couple of us did both nostrals at the same time got really buzzed and had to go outside for some air. While we were outside the bar just talking people kept looking at me like I was some kind of freak and I had no idea why. Until we want to go back in and i noticed my refelction in the window, i had a big fucking "hitler mustache" of snuff under my nose. I felt pretty stupid, but that usually happens when i have 12 beers then have another.
