Okay, so here's my situation:

I planted a seed in my backyard about a week and a half ago and it seems to have sprouted. It's really small, but i'm feeling confident in it. What I want to know is how to care for it outdoors. Should i just water it and let the sun during the day do the rest of the work?

Keep in mind it just sprouted, so don't get too ahead of yourselfs. I just want to know wut to do for the time being..

yes, you do not need a light to grow outdoors, but you may need to hide your plant when it gets bigger as people will want to steal it.

So as long as I water it, it'll grow?

Yeah, it will grow for, oh, another week or so when the first frost hits and kills it.

it might be able to withstand a very mild frost but when the temps get below 28 for hours at night it is going to die you can either let it die and start again next spring or early summer which is probably your best option, or bring it indoors and allow it to grow wich if its just one plant it could very well be a male and a complete waste of your time.
