buds/harvesting question

hey my plants got buds, and quite a few, but theyre all small. therye evenly istrubeted along my entire plant. i've seen pics of plants with big columns of bud on top. do all plants become so bushy and plump at the top? im really just concerned that my plant wont become very plump, and that way wont produce a very nice yeild. what do you guys think? are the last couple weeks of the budding process pretty vigorous growth?

The answer is yes, the buds fatten considerably in the last 3 weeks.
For that giant top cola you see in pictures, you either need to not pinch at all, or give your plant enough veg time to develop a pair of vigorous leaders before flowering.
Plus strain is going to come into play, and your growing environment, and lights.

Strain and veg time play a big roll, also many prune the smaller bud sights on the lower area that do not get good light contact the first week of flower so the plant can direct its energy to the upper sights.
