I was just wondering if I can still start to grow at this time of year. This would be my first grow. I've read that I should be harvesting in october or around, but would that really matter in southern Cali? I've always got great weather and the greenhouse would protect it from harm. Can I pretty much grow year round or does weed not grow in the winter even in weather is good? Any help is greatly appreciated... I just want to grow one plant.

Hello 221..

The reason it will not work is... Plants require longer days (more hours of light) during their veggetative stage in life. this is the first stage.. May - August...

And they need shorter days (12hours of uninterupted darkness) to FLOWER (produce BUDS). This is the last stage.. This is usually the months of September - October....

SO if you plant outside NOW, the days will not be long enough... and the plants will most likely die... Unless you supplement them with a few extra hours of light....

and NOW you KNOWM
