Damn man, it's a lil' common sense but hey, I'll fill ya in if you are serious.

A bong's water is it's filter. As the smoke goes through the bong and reaches the water, much of the crap contained in the smoke enters the water, such as tar. The water turns black, smells like ass, and coincidentally, is said to taste like shit.

Don't fret though, your THC won't be able to mix with the water, incase you are thinking you are losing a bunch of THC from your smoke.

Well, I know peeps who use fruit juice and alcohol. I wouldn't recommend it since some chemicals can easily bond to alcohol and such, it might reduce the substance with some strains of marijuana. Thus getting you less high.
And of course "depending on the substance" you put in, you have a quick risk of fire.

If you want to replace the bong water with anything, look around online for these "energy drinks" that are advertised as bong water. It's said they help add flavor while having a only a few properties in them, thus not running the risk of losing your marijuana potency when the smoke is mixed with it. Don't know much about them myself, only heard alot from a friend, he bought some.

THC is alcohol soluble so I wouldn't reccomend using it as bong water.It would probably REDUCE the thc you inhaled rather than increase anything.But if you DID use hard liquor in your bong,THEN drinking the used bong contents would be less than stupid,like drinking the funky ass smelling bong water would be.Because the funky alcohol WOULD have thc in it.
