Should i use pots or plant in ground?

Im opting for an outdoor grow this time. (living in the south with this moisture its the way to go, actually better than indoor)
Do you guys think i should use pots for the first few weeks/phases, or just plant in the ground in some good healthy soil.
Pots tend to stunt the growth a little bit, but assure a safe first few phases. I let the seeds soak in distilled water all last night and im fixing to go put my babies in the ground!

I want to try something new, so im doing an outdoor grow this time, but, pots or in the ground for the first few phases?

(im talking about a cabbage plant for legal purposes)

Listen, in my opinion you should try putting the plants in the pots and vegging them for a couple of weeks. The reason being simple that if you put the seeds outside and just plant them, they might have a hard time surviving.(E.g. there is a heavy rain and it floods the seed...etc..) It's better letting the plant devellop in a nice environment where you can control the weather and then when you feel its nice and ready just put it outside and let nature take over from there =).

This is going to be for the spring season, right?
Too late for outdoor this year.
Get your plants started inside, sex them, clone the crap out of them, and do an outdoor starting in June.
