if i take clones from a uknown plant that is vegging and then i put that uknown plant into flower and find out later it is a female, will all my clones be females?
i would think so but...........:confused:

please dont get confused about the question i know that if i have a known female that clones taken off it will be female also, its jus doing it a lil backwards i guess....:confused:

Yeah, all clones will be female.
By the same token, if you take a couple clones off your unknown donor and put the CLONES in flower, you can find out what sex the donor is, and let her veg for longer without wasting veg room space on 'unknowns'.

nope most people will flower early to tell what sex the plant is then revert back to veg and keep that plant in veg and take the shoots from it and clone them you can keep this plant around for years as long as you keep it in veg and in excellent health

yes that is the most logical thing to do but at the same time if one has a flower room witch is full at the moment and the veg room is growing to tall why not top them and prune them and clone em and when space is available flower the plant and if its a male throw all those clones away... no space to flower anything but have plenty of space for clones.

The problem with this is that by revegging you can stress the plant and make it hermie.

That's a newb thing to do. Common, but newbalicious.

The pros recommend 'cloning for sex' as I described above.

Flower the clone then you know the sex of the plant it was taken from so you can save the stress on the main plant.
