Hey im thinking about getting a psp. I bought a DS cuz i figured the quality of the product would be better, but there is next to no good non kiddy games for it. So i was wondering how the psp is. Can you play it while the battery is charging. Is it net avaliable right out of the box? And how is Twisted Metal for it?

i have psp snd it a whole lot betterr then the ds. with the psp, depnding on what version it is, i can play homebrew games on it right from my memorysick. i can also dl games (iso) and save it to my ms, i dn't have to buy a game ever again. The graphics are brilliant, and yes you can play with your charger connected. there are loads of things you can do with it. you can also use your psp as a remote if you want. very handy when your just stoned and can't be bothred looking for the remote. :)

i had a firmware 2.5- but then i downgraded to 1.5, so i can play homebrew games and dl games for it.

hope this helps:rasta:

i wanna PSP myself, i've played one the graphics are fantastic, kicks the ds right in the arse.

i heard if you had a Gmail account you can put music and movie clips on Gmail and access them with the psp's web browser, it's like having a free 2.5gb memory stick. or you can open 4 Gmail accounts and have 10gb FREE :D

Brilliant there is no better. The games and graphics are awesome. Only problem I have is my joypad squeeks from excessive gaming.

New Super Mario Bros, Animal Crossing, Super Mario 64 DS, Metroid Prime Hunters, and the new StarFox game looks absolutely tits.

See those are good games, but i like action and violence in my games. But the DS is pretty cool.

DS > PSP!
NINTENDO > SONY!
DOGSHIT > MICROSOFT!

I like Nintendo too, but I've never played a PSP or DS.

Pikmin rules though.

This is the 1st case I've heard of this happening. Did you contact Sony? What actions have you taken to get it repaired? Keep us updated.

psp rules!
i lost my joystick thing
after a few hours of gameplay your hands will start to hurt
the web shit is SLOW and not enough ram to fully support even a basic forum like this one. writing text is hell! the wifi multiplayer is shocking! first time i heard a player on socom with a mic i was blown away!
i just got a 2gb card for it, awesome! only 50$!
had it for a year and the battery is still like new, incredible!
thps8 is ok, there tons of SICK video clips but its same ol same ol. oh and the nail the trick mode sucks ass, stupid idea and its not that creative.
the games need to incorperate music that you can store on the memory as mp3, i would love ANY game if it could do that.

It has no internal memory so to save games you need a memory card.

you don't deserve to own a DS, all the games are kiddy stfu.

Aparently those people who think Nintendo is "fisher price" doesn't actually know anything at all about games and quality. Just because you saw some rapper on MTV playing it, doens't make it a good game. Case in point....all 50 cent games. They are crap.

Well I know he has the console version of whatever crappy shooter it was called, but they remade one for the psp and it blows chunks. There are a few good 'adult' games for psp, but the rest are junk. I loves my psp, but I also want a ds simply because those games are intuitive and refreshing. I got a few hours of play out of vicy city stories, but I was done with it before I started playing (as I have allready beat it).

Well do i need a memory stick

It comes with a 32MB memory stick, but if you want to save video files on those cards you'll want a bigger one. But for just game saves its fine.

Can anybody tell me how the music player is on the PSP? I had a PSP a while back but sold it, and at the time I was annoyed that you couldn't have multiple albums seperate for the same band, you had to have all the songs mixed into the bands folder. Have they changed that with any of the recent system upgrades?

I'd really like to get a PSP again because I have a lot of downtime at my work, and it'd be nice to use it as an MP3 player too but that folder issue really bugged me.

As for comparing it to a DS, well, I'd never buy a DS because the games just aren't interesting to me. I'd rather play Tetris on my cell phone than buy a DS. I'm sure its a great system, but I'm just not interested. I want to play GTA on a mobile system :)
