Which is better?

I have A germated seed and two types of pots I have one that's deep but not wide, and one that's wide but not as deep.. Which is better for the roots? wide or deep soil? Thanks.:)

Well if they are small pots and you will have to transplant either will work.

But the general rule is a short wide pot will grow a short wide plant and a skinny deep pot will grow a skinny tall plant.
