Which is better?

I have A germated seed and two types of pots I have one that's deep but not wide, and one that's wide but not as deep.. Which is better for the roots? wide or deep soil? Thanks.

Well if they are small pots and you will have to transplant either will work.

But the general rule is a short wide pot will grow a short wide plant and a skinny deep pot will grow a skinny tall plant.
