Anybody like vacationing in the Islands?

I'm headed to Jamaica in November and wondering if any Texans will be there, or want to go and meet up?

I go once or more a year. Since '85.
Usually alone.
Just like this next time.

Old guy 51, absolutely no strings. Male or female or couples ok, because I'm hetero, and only looking to be stoned with cool people.
I don't look 51, more like 41 and not a baldhead, lol.

No swinging or sexual needs.
Just party.

Edit: that's not my pic, it's Smiling Bob from the enzyte commercials. :)

Aaaah, Negril. Yes, I do believe that it is possible to have fun there. Someone might have to jolt my memory, but it seems that I was told I had a GREAT time there.

You'll enjoy it if you love gorgeous beaches, beautiful rain forests, great clubs and food, and letting your abundance of hair down. Be a bit wary of who you do bidness with...and don't say yes to the first person who asks if you want anything to relax with. Plenty of opportunities so be picky.

Be sure to let us know when you get back. I wish we could tag along. We'd love to have friends in our age bracket to travel with. It seems to be harder to do the older we get. I hear that once you reach retirement, finding other couples to travel with is much easier.

Have a great week.

Wow, I had forgotten i posted this. heh heh

Yeah Negril has always had my heart.
I like Whitehouse as well, because I have old friends living there.
And have done a bit of work in Whitehouse over the past 10 years or so.

I love Big Bridge, but only because I have friends there also. And work there sometimes.
It's not really a party place. Yet. :)

Damn, I can't even talk my brother into going this time.

I'll let you know when i get back.

Like i said before, I have been going once or twice a year for the past 20 years or so.

Half the times I've gone alone, because it's hard to find people to go with me.

I wish I could tag along bud. Unfortunately, work and husbandly duties prevent me from leaving for awhile.

I wish you a safe and memorable vacation. Be sure to toast us while watching a sunset on the beach.

Onward!

Man, I'd love to go do that too... and I really really want to go to the Cannabis Cup. Unfortunately cash and other issues won't allow it. Maybe next year.

I go to Jamaica maybe once or twice a year to see friends that have been deported and distant relatives. However...that means I'm either in the Kingston Parish, in Kingston, or May Pen in the Claredon Parish.

Have really never been to any of the 'tourist' spots. I've had friends from the West Indies since I was little so my patois is pretty good and I blend with the locals.

Hope you have fun. Remember...Red Stripe, It's beer!

Man, a couple of Red Stripes and a stick of jerk is quite a treat.

I hear you on that! One of my friends mother has a roadside stand in Savoon-la-mar where she sells jerk chicken and pork. Oh man, some jerk chicken and a couple of bites of festival and it's all over! I learned how to make Sorrel drink from her (with LOTS of ginger)...too bad I can't find any Sorrel down here!!!

Big Bridge is close to Sav-Lamar.
That's where Miss Daisey's grocery is.

May Pen is a rough place. I don't venture to that area.

White House was just a quiet fishing village some 10 or 12 years ago when i first started going there to help work on my friend's house.
It's only in the past 18 months or so that it has become tourist, due to the Sandles they built there.
I was able to sneak a peak while they were building that monstrosity. Eeesh!!!

I like Bluefields too, my friend has property there as well.
He's a Jamaican i have known here in Texas for over 20 years.
And i work for him down there.

The first time i went to Jamaica it was for another friend to work on his house.

I love to work there while on vacation. And I have a special construction talent.

Well, looks like early or middle November that I'm going.

I'll check back up till then to see if anybody changed their plan and wants to go party for a week.

Oh yeah, nothing wrong with bald heads, my older brother is kinda bald, and I'm headed in that direction.
It was just a funny thing to say.

Hey bro.....you got a ticket that cheap for round trip? Really good price. If you happen to do this again next spring and want company, hollar at me. I know that spring costs much, much more. This is the cheap time because of hurricane season and the fact that school is back in session.

Be sure to face Texas and blast one for us on the beach while you're there. We'll be with you in spirit.:rasta:
