I've tried getting a few dogs high every now and then by blowing smoke in their face, now i got a dog of my own so i wonder if is ok for me to do it? i didn't care before the pets werent mine, but now i got me a special friend she is about 6 months old, idk exactly since i found her chilling outside my door, I named her MJ, for Maryjane so she has to live up to her name. Any tips let me know, I don't wanna kill my dog....LOL.

well, i would wait for her to grow up a little, then when she's at least, i don't know, 1 year old
I would blow my smoke in her direction, then if she gets away, so that she doesn't like it, i wouldn't bother trying. maybe if she smells weed now that she's young, she'll get used to it and like it so she'll want you to blow in her face, who knows :D

I tried getting her high yesterday, i blew the smoke in her face she sneezed and laid in a corner til she fell asleep. But today she threw up in a corner of my apt, don't know if it was the bud or all the french fries i gave her yesterday. I've been giving her real dog food but when im eating she just stares at the food so my girl and I felt bad and started feeding her some fries, I think thats what did it, don't think it was the bud..but again im no expert, I can't even take care of myself but im doing my best with my new buddy.

i dont know if its true that thc stays in a dog longer or whatever but i do know that it fucks their nose up. So i wouldn't do it, i did try it once a long time ago and i could tell that my dog didn't like it, and ever since then, she would put her ears down and try to leave the area if i had weed.

So you don't care about the health of someones dog untill it belongs to you?
What a jerk off.

Thats the dumbest thing i've ever heard. If someone wants to try and get their pet high, thats their business. If the pet walks away don't do it, if they stay, then maybe they like it. You can't deprive an animal of this amazing herb just because they dont have opposable thumbs, or can't speak. Also, doogle is right about the food, NEVER feed your dog human food. My parents did it for my dog, and after a while he stopped eating dog food because he knew that he would get better food, plus he started to get fat and lazy.

I'm sure dogs would love a bite of your chocolate bar too, but it is harmful to them. Just because the dog belongs to you doesn't give you the right to intoxicate it. Do you think it would be ok for me to blow crystal meth smoke in my dogs face? Or how about shoot some heroine into his leg. After all, it is MY dog...

Cats can make themselves high, thats why the sit there with that shit eating look all the time. They can release alot of endorphins.

I learned my lesson on a mouse, which I put in a tupperware bong. It was brain damaged and lived just a week after I took it out and gave it mouth-to-mouse. Since then (and that was 25 years ago), I figure if a pet wants some pot, they know how to ask for stuff. None ever has though. We do have one cat that seems to enjoy when we humans get high, because that makes us happier and friendlier I guess. She doesn't want any herself, but she prefers us humans to be stoned. ;)

this debate must've come up at least once a month over on overgrow, lol. lots of people r extremely against getting animals high based on the argument that they can't tell u if they like it or not. but i give animals more credit than that. for instance, my first dog was a purebread dalmation and he obviously hated pot. when he was in the smoke room all he tried to do was get out. so of course we didn't force anything on him. my current dog is a black lab and she LOVES it. it's gotten to the point where if she hears my openin the stash box she comes over and sits right next to me waggin her tail like she was waiting for a treat. when i blow it in her face she leans forward and licks her nose a whole lot. if we're in the smoke room and the door is closed, she scratches at the door until we let her in and she runs around the circle havin a grreat time.

bottom line is, judge by ur pet's reaction whether or not it's a good idea to get them high. and yeah, it was definately the fries that made ur dog puke. every dog i've had has hurled when they get into greasy stuff. peace dude.

My dog can tell me whether or not he likes something. I guess that makes him smart enough to be able to like something.

The argument of "they can't tell you if they like it or not" doesn't make any sense to me. My dog tells me when he's hungry, and when he has to go outside. He's a living, breathing being, and on this matter, I let him make the choice.

Oh, and Jamstigator, remember that mice have little lungs. Simply blowing smoke at it could be the equivalent of hot smoke being forced into your lungs. I'm not even sure about the cannabis receptors, but I know that might have been how your pet had to pass.

i dont mean to rag on you man, but why the hell would you just take a dog on your front porch?

imagine that it's you're dog and it escapes and runs away. you scream for it and you cant find it anywhere, you drive around looking for it and its nowhere to be found.

all along some asshole took your dog and decided it was his because it was on his lawn at the time.

thats a low move, the right thing to do would be to put up signs saying you found the dog and give them your number

if someone ever took my dog in like that (he runs away sometimes) i would beat the fuck out of them without hesitation

Dogs also like going into trash and drinking from toilet bowls. Untill a scientist does a study to determine whether marijuana smoke is healthy for your pet or not, I would refrain from shotgunning your family pet.

It wasn't that I didn't know mice have lungs. The problem was I got so stoned I forgot the mouse was still inside the bong! An honest mistake, though unfortunately fatal for the mouse.

Oh I see. Yeah, small animals are easy to accidentally kill.

What a jerk off.

well the dogs are my boys and his whole family smoke those dogs are used to it you should see them, they're real pot heads, you give em some they go look for the ball they can fetch, and then they come back so we can blow smoke on them, sometimes they run around in circles for no reason its funny, I don't go wastin my bud on any ramdom dog, i though mine would like it but i think she don't. I had it for 2 days now and she's become very attached to me, i found her outside my door.

On the other hand i live in what we call in miami an efficiency, which is basicly a room kitchen and bathroom, a very tight space, so what should i do when i toke? Lately i've been opening up the windows and shit, but i smoke-a-lot sometimes even 3 to 4 blunts a day. Everytime I toke by myself the whole room gets foggy as fuck so imaging when i smoke with others and bigger blunts, would that 2nd hand smoke get my dog high?

Dude I've looked everywhere for the owners and I can't find nobody around my hood that lost a dog, the dog was very clean and playful thats why i kept her, plus I live in front of main 4 lane street she could of easily gotten run over, i see that shit all the time all i have to do is stand outside. that goes for accidents too, if anybody comes to my crib looking for the dog i will be more than happy to give it back to the original owners, but im just tired of going around to see who lost the dog, plus if they loved it so much they should of taken care of her.

Man yall need to put this shit in prespective. Millions of dogs die of injection every day and this guy takes in a poor little puppy and wants to make its life a little more enjoyable and you all flame him.

thc stays in dogs longer though, so he could have a life taking permenant high or something...but i really dont know. :-P feel free to do it bro, i jus dont want my dog dying if there are any risks

I don't know about the dog, but i'll love to be in a permanet high, that shit will be raw. In regards to the dog, i will give her to my sister, after the couple of past days i decided that the place I have is too small for an animal, plus everytime i leave her alone she tears up anything she could find, and even tho she is trained to go outside everytime she needs to do her business the whole fucking up of my socks, garbage, and anythng else she could find is getting me pissed the fuck up, I've talked to my sister and she will keep the dog, she has a house way bigger than mine, with a yard, and I think that the dog will eventually live happier there, even tho lately she has been starting to enjoy her high, and shit, but I just can have her ripping off my shit everytime i leave her alone, she will no longer be a stoner,..... thanx to your comments and concerns but no longer will animal behaviour be my business.....

My cats really dislike smoke, I think animals' noses are pretty sensitive so they will let you know if they like it or not.

I smoke with my cat sometimes, I'll be chilling in my basement watching tv with my cat in a chair next to me and blow smoke in his face, he doesnt seem to care because he doesnt get up. I dont do it often just whenever hes not off doing whatever the fuck cats do. hes always relaxed though wich is sweet.

I cant do it with my dogs though, they run off every time i light up..... fuckin straight edge pets

:EDIT: damn, i cant spell worth a damn when blazed
