little confused...
got this smallish fluro desk lamp, the bulb itself has only "day ligh" writting on it but compared to all my regular fluros the light appears to be a more orange-red then the regular blue or white.

is this lamp any good for my seedlings???

your plant will be too tall/skinny if you keep that lamp..not enough light..........get 2/3 big floros MINIMUM if you're growing indoors..keep them just far enough away not to burn the tops..

i have 8 24w large fluro lights jus no more room under them
the seedling i have under the desk lamp is acually growin fine.
i had thought about the how weak the stem would get but much to my surprise 5 days after i popped the tap root in germination the little champ's grown 2" and has a third set of leaves.
the stem has shown no sign of weakness or streching, infact i think the stem is alot thicker than usual. when it gets bigger like the others i will put it under a Hps but for now i jus want to see what happens....peace
