View Full Version : new to growing does this look ok?

hi im new to growing ive been growing this plant for about 2 1/2 months and i was just wondering does this look ok so far? im planning of flowering soon with a 12x12 light cycle by putting a big black plastic bag over since its growing outdoors but im not sure when i should start. sorry for the newbie questions.
and is there any way to tell if this is a male of female now?

can someone please tell me if my plant is looking ok the leaves seem kinda on the small side compared to all the other plants ive seen is this normal? sry for the stupid questions:o this is my first grow

She looks fine, I notice the bucket below and appears to be a cleaning bucket? I hope there are drainage holes to prevent the roots from being suffocated.

If you put a black plastic bag over your plant be aware of the max temperature and humidity inside the bag. Personally I wouldn't do it that way. I'd just be patient and wait for fall.

GOt a basement?/???? be colder down there and less humid...if you bring it into the basement and cover it...no light...cold air...and no humidity...just a thought

yea i put holes on the bottom and side
and i think im just gonna wait til it naturally flowers i dont wanna risk hurting my plant

heres a pic of my plant i took them yesterday heres a update from 2 months ago theve been flowering since august 28th so its been about 6 weeks.. its my first grow.. im sure its a savita strain.. any ideas on what strain it is? its from some random bag seed.. also it has these lil bugs on the bottom that eat away at the leaves and make them turn yellow.. i dont have a pic but after reading i think there thrips??? any suggestions on what they could be and what should i do i dont wanna put anything on them that would mess up the buds since its close to harvesting.. but ill keep the picts updated im gona take some in a lil bit

yeh mate, they are lookin good, - if the insects leave tiny little yellow dots they are spider mites, otherwise i dunno, i expect the bud on that plant has a natural resistance to pests so as long as they dont rape every single leaf from your plant you should be ok, just squish every bug you see and hope for the best... good luck mate
