Me and Stephen Carpenter of Deftones!

Such a cool guy, he stayed outside for half an hour just chatting to fans and signing shit.

I met Tom Araya of Slayer when I was 12, he was shit cool too. Kerry King was a dick to me though I have to say.

Who have you guys met?

I met William Shatner once at a WorldCon, in the hospitality suite where he was getting soused because of marital difficulties. He was kinda too drunk to really have a conversation with, but I let him talk in my direction until I got bored, which didn't take long. ;)

I was at Phil's book signing in San Francisco. What a nice person.
Being that friends of mine run the Fillmore in San Francisco, i have been able to meet many musicians, collect many autographs and guitar picks, and toke a number on a tour bus or two.
All of the autographs i have mean a lot to me, but my favs are..
Jerry Garcia(RIP)
Robert Hunter
Phil Lesh
Robert Earl Keen
Iris Dement
Robert Plant
David Crosby
Neil Young
Peter Tork
Mickey Dolenz
Cher
Sonny Bono(RIP)
Jerry Orbach(RIP)
Sean Penn

Back before i was a movie star
fresh off of the farm
i had a picture of another mans wife
tatooed on my arm
with a pack of camel cigarettes
rolled up in the sleeve on my t-shirt
i headed out to Hollywood
Just to have my feelings hurt:confused:

That town will make you crazy
just give it a little time
you'll be walking around in circles
down at Hollywood & Vine
You'll be waiting for a phone call
on the wrong end of a broom
yeah that town will make you crazy
as crazy as a loon.:(

So i headed out to Nashville
to become a country star
every night you'd find me hanging
in every honkeytonkin bar
pretty soon i met a woman
pretty soon she done me wrong
pretty soon my life was sadder
than any country song

Yeah that town will make you crazy
just give it a little time
you'll be walking a round in cirlces
searching for that country rhyme
you'll be waiting for a phone call
on the wrong end of a broom
yeah that town will make you crazy
as crazy as a loon:mad:

So i gathered up my savvy
bought myself a business suit
i headed up to new york city
where a man could make some loot
i got hired monday morning
downsized that afternoon
overcome with grief that evening
now i'm crazy as a loon:D

I can't say I've been lucky enough to meet an idol, unless you want to count college mascots when I was a little kid, lol.

I see someone here mentioned Dale Earnhardt.. Truth be told, I was at the Daytona 500 the year he died; that's about the closest I ever came to meeting an idol. When we saw him wreck we didn't think too much of it at the time because it didn't look so bad. My family was shocked when we found out the wreck killed him.

When you waste resources chasing one another around a track for glory, Karma will end up being the dictator. I wonder how many bodies per gallon his car got?
