My landlord came down on June 30th (last day of that month, got my $$ for July,& still has last months deposit ),he said, I must move as he has someone to move in for Aug.1st ??. I have paid until Aug.31st, my legal crop will not be ready until Aug.15 or so????. Is there anything I can do,( I called the landlord & tenents act, they told me ,he cannot kick me out, but now he says ,since I connected a 220 volt wire,which runs my boxes,my grow boxes. Can he do this 2 months before I am to leave?? (Sorry about landlords act, she said to give him a letter on June 30th ,stating I am terminating my tenency Aug.31st which I am paid up until???. Could anyone HELP ME PLEASE ??!!!. I am disabled & my mind is starting to go crazy.( about the 220 volt dryer connection I put in, went above code,have 15 amp breakers on each timed plug,8 gauge steel coated wire. Please Any Suggestions, or Help ?????. Much Much Appreciated !!!!!! [email protected] He thinks I was going to move, which I wasnt, but now I must ??????? He just did this "as" he thought??? I was going to move ????????. my last crop, (in my room ,there is a plug for a recepticle out side, & he flicked my light on, to use this recepticle,he had a extension cord that had wires showing that shorted, blew my main fuse, & I lost ( burnt ) almost 8/10's of my last crop !!!! Now he wants to pull the plug ,please i need some legal knoledgable help, any help is appreciated !!!!!!!!! Thanks !!!!!!!

i would consult a lawyer that specializes in contracts and leasing.

None of us knows the details of the lease you signed, what obligations you must meet etc. Each one of those situations is unique.

What kind of lease do you have? Yearly, month to month, section 8?
Take everything written from the landlord and take it to a lawyer, have your lawyer contact your landlord.

Maybe this landlord thinks he can just push you around. If you have a contract, he can't go back on it. You said you went ahead and put in a 220 volt......did landlord agree to that? Was it installed by a professional?

ur landlord sounds like a fucka man, tell the cunt uve paid till aguist and ur staying until then, dont let him take ur crop man, i hade a 20 plnt crop of "mixed herbs" in the garden and my landlord pulled the same shit on me. i got up and stood up for my rytz man, i got a lawyer and put up a fight 4 5 months b4 i finnaly got the boot, which gave me the time i needed to harvest my herb. dpnt let him push u around coz u a pothead. and how do u mean legal plants? is tht possible?

I am moving Sept.30th, this landlord is trying know to say ,1) air conditioning,which he ran all last year,,He said I must pay for ALL the $$ of the hydro,-air conditioning,I said NO, & to turn it off, as I am NOT paying it,( but I do pay for the hydro I use,he even rips me there as I give him $100 extra a month for my hydro use??),,, 2) I do not know what to do here, he will steal my medicine when it is drying, he will try to get it when I am at the doctors??, what should I do ??. Also he is trying to say I must shapoo these 20 year old carpets, that are so old, & is that not wy I pay rent ???. Thanks Everyone !!!! Lots !!!!! Any input is well appreciated !!!!!!! OK. Don't know what provinces you guys are in, but hopefully it is Ontario. I work for a large landlord corporation and deal with this crap all the time.

julmanjulman - If the landlord has a family member moving in to the unit, he can request legally that you vacate. Without legal application and a legal notice from the Ontario Rental Housing Tribunal, he cannot legally make you move. If you were tricked into handing a signed letter to the landlord stating that you are moving, then I'm sorry, you have hung yourself and the only recourse would be leagl action against your landlord. You would have to prove that your landlord took advantage of you by using your disability against you (worth a shot in the dark).
