veggin with a 400w mh!

we just planted 6 germinated jamacian seeds tonight in red plastic cups and need to know if keeping a 400w mh about 2 feet above the cups willl be good? we dont wont it to be too hot but we wanna make sure we are doing it right!

Make sure you have a fan blowing between the plants and the light.
Put your hand on top of cups...Is it HOT? You can lower light, until your hand get's HOT; them back light off 3-6" and monitor it...You should be good there. As plant grows raise light accordingly. peace

Just stick a thermometer on top of the soil.
Watch closely. Keep it under 85.
Keep the air moving.
