deminishing plant

to make a long story short a friend of mine stumbled on a plant growing believe it or not in his trash dump. We are in the south so there has been a burn ban going on for some time. But anywaythe plant is about 2 to 3 foot wide and about 5 foot tall and is just starting to show signs of budding at the ends. Well its been so dry that the grasshoppers have turn to it in search of moisture and are starting to DESTROY it.:( We have tried pesticide but they seem to be defeating us. Just curious of anything that we can do to help it stay alive. Its all natural so im not sure what fertilizer would do at this point. Please any help would be greatly appreciated. Sure hate to lose the plant this late into it!

it can actually happen i have 2 plants right now that are showing preflower i think ones a male though.

A home made pestacide that i have used myself seems to work
for all the little bugs that induldge on plants.

3 tbsp. of bakeing soda
2 tbsp. of Murphy's oil Soap
2 tbsp. of canola oil
2 tbsp. of vinegar
2 gal. of warm water

Mix all these and let it set over night
spray the plant till its is dripping. That
should keep the little buggers off the plant.

I think I've probably planted dome plants in the dump with out realizing it.

Possibly bring some water for her if the temps outside require supplemantal watering.

If you do give her nutrients... I would use a diluted mixture!

HOW do you keep her from other people seeing her? Isn't trhe dump a busy place? Especially since there is a burn ban..

its on private property way off in a back corner of about 200 acres only a few family members use the dump. But since its been so dry and to keep trash from stacking up they have been going to a public landfill instead. So we should be safe till she's ready to harvest cause dont foresee enough rain in the few months to catch us up to a point to were they will lift the burn ban.

Nearest lanfill is 60 miles away from here and this is not uncommon for burn piles to be on your land. The drive into town from here is about 15 to 20 miles itself. And as garden knowm said it doesnt hurt shit its a 12x12 pit and if your look in the picture there is growth all the way up to the edge of it. Eh, after a while you just ignore the negative comments. It makes you a lot happier in the end. I grew up in a small town kinda near dallas, so I know what you mean though. I think you have to get permits to burn now in texas, though, but I haven't been back since I was a child, so I wouldn't really know.

went and check up on her today. We tied up the branches and giving a good supply of water and all is well. She was drooping a bit after a freak rain we had. But a little support and shes reaching for the heavens once agian.LOL

we and visited lady dump today and man is she perkey. We had some major support issue with a few of the biggest branches getting heavy. One of them actually layed on the ground but made a drastic turn upward towards the sky. So she seems to be coming along well.

I would have to agree GK The plant looks over fertilized and i think the reason is because that decaying garbage is acting like one giant compost bin that the plant is growing in. That is probally the reason its so freaking huge but maybe the garbage is a little to strong and the tree is starting to burn :(. any ways ford i wouldnt worry about it, it should be fine

I got the low down on why one of the little ones died. It seems as though my buddy felt they needed some fertilizer so he fertilized and well the end result was a fried plant. The other one is surviving for the time being we have been watering it religously and keeping our fingers crossed. As for DUMP she's looking great. stay token.

hey folks im still here. Just been busy i changed jobs and now i work from 6 am to 7 pm so havent had a chance to do much. But anyway i have some not so good news. We started seeing pre flowing 3 or 4 weeks ago im not sure. But like i said ive been busy so my good ol buddy who was supposed to be watching DUMP failed to water her for a week or 2. So needless to say when i asked about the plant this weekend and went to visit well she was dried out pretty bad and lots of yellow. but we watered it and its seems to be looking a bit better then it was. So i dont know folks i rekon keep your fingers crossed and pray for the best. Till then stay token. I will update with pictures this weekend hopefully. Later

Getting back to the original question, I have read in several sources that locusts will not eat neem trees. According to what I read, when the locusts hit, the only green thing thing left are the neem trees. Neem oil is nontoxic for warm blooded creatures. Mix it in water with a few drops of soap, use it as a spray. You can get it from health food stores. Do a search on it.

What the fuck is a "family dump" ? Just some place that a family throws all their shit and tries to burn it when they can ? I think I've probably planted dome plants in the dump with out realizing it.
If you throw away your seeds then they will grow.
Why don't people start spreading seeds everywhere all over the country?

Since you live in the booneys, why not grow a whole crap load out doors? If a plant that size could grow in the open, who knows how much you could pull off hidden?! You might not need to work again for a long time. Even just four or five plants that size would probably give you at least 4 to five pounds bone dry. Won't have to buy pot for a long time and just think of all the firends you would have lol. Think about it - I would be growing as soon as possible. If you promise to log your grows i'll even give you some AK47 seeds.

A home made pestacide that i have used myself seems to work
for all the little bugs that induldge on plants.

3 tbsp. of bakeing soda
2 tbsp. of Murphy's oil Soap
2 tbsp. of canola oil
2 tbsp. of vinegar
2 gal. of warm water

Mix all these and let it set over night
spray the plant till its is dripping. That
should keep the little buggers off the plant.
