BREAKING NEWS: Three inmates die at Guantanamo (http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/5068228.stm)

Three detainees at the US base at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, have died in what appears to have been a joint suicide pact, officials said.

It was not immediately clear when the inmates - two Saudis and a Yemeni - died, the US military said.

They "were found unresponsive and not breathing in their cells by guards".

The US holds about 460 men at the facility on suspicion of links to Osama Bin Laden's al-Qaeda organisation and the Taleban ex-leaders of Afghanistan.

We should bury them in pig entrails, with a bottle of cheap gin cradled in their arms.

the title "THREE INMATES DIE AT GUANTANAMO" is misleading, when it was in fact a suicide. to say they died might cause readers to assume it was due to poor conditions of the prison, or to mistreatment etc.

Ya-know Breuk, We may have found something here in which we agree. They have actually said that about us since 600 A.D.

Breuk ~ You may have helped me come up with my new Name. The one current mirrors my email. Still giving it some thought.

Todays technology? Pobably doesn't matter. I Love ya Man,... Can I have a beer?

Yeah, I had a beer last night - New Grist. It's not made with weat, barley, or rye - thus, no gluten. I can't have that stuff (gluten), due to a condition called Celiac disease, so there's a short list of brands that I can drink without getting sick.

Are you the guy that's into old audio equipment? I've got a few things (Fisher, Eico, etc.), mostly tubed rigs, but do not have enough room for what I'd like to own. The amps and recievers, mostly American-made, from 40+ years ago often beat the high-end gear of today.

Have a good one.

:( Yeah its an outrage really what on earth is going on here? it must be bad if people are taking there own lives. What you think that these guys wanted to do this? They proberbly thought it was the only way out and the worst thing about this situation was one of the inmates were due to come out but wasn't told yet - what a joke and if only he had of heard that he might of just hang in there for just a bit more. Its sad and the damn place should be shut down.Hasn't the UN already requested that it be shut down? :(

burry them in jello!

Awesome.

He said medical teams had tried to revive the men, but all three were pronounced dead.

American medical teams. Why would they even say that they tried? Why not just say that we found these men hanged?

I wonder how many people use circumstantial-evidence to place the blame on Americans, and how many put the blame on them, first.

Lots of colors, in there.

They committed suicide, that same way as the Hijacker's did, on 9-11. For the good of their people.

Please. These guys have a different standard for human life. I'm sure they were hoping to meet up with Allah and the virgins. When you strap bombs onto your kids and blow them up and celebrate them as martyrs and receive gifts from states that support terrorism your concern is for your master not your brothers and sisters.

U.N.? Fuck the U.N. They have proven themselves to be worthless and corrupt. What good have they done?

But what are we going to do with these guys? I think we should just hold onto them until Iraq can stand on its own then process the ones that have cases against them and send the rest back to where they came from.

Weren't these the Al Quada and Taliban people from Afghanistan? Even before 9/11, that theocracy was one of the most oppressive, backwards, corrupt, murderous governments on earth.

These are the people that we helped drive the Soviets away. We should have let the Russians have Afghanistan - instead, our religious-minded leaders armed bin laden and his ilk for resistance. That's water under the bridge, and there was no reason on earth for them to attack us - especially since we were showering them with millions of dollars each year in foreign aid, not to mention the lucrative opium trade that they had (and still have).

Before people start posting sites that claim the U.S. government was behind 9/11, here's a site that has debunking info, mostly regarding "controlled demolition" conspiracy theories:

http://us.geocities.com/debunking911/index.htm

For those that STILL think that a lot of people believe the poppycock that Alex Jones, Steven Jones, and others are pushing, I'd suggest a trip to New York City. Talk to some of the people that were in lower NYC that day - and since.

yeah, liberation means no due process!! and if you think no due process isn't freedom, you're insane!

if some guy kills someone in your neighborhood and you can't find the murderer, just bomb the entire city, just take out entire city blocks, you'll probably get him. it's worth it.

ignore what the founders of the country said at all cost! they were evil conspiracy theorists who talked about freedom and tyranny. if you read the federalist papers, those guys were obviously terrorists.

we found these guys in afghanistan, and we all know, anyone in that country is automatically a terrorist without any proof other than having caught them, which means again, that they're obviously a terrorist, and you don't need proof because look at them! they're dark skinned and we got them somehow, so they're working with al-qaeda.

how can we talk about proof for accusations after liberating a country! the two just don't go together in the new definition of freedom, which is dictatorship. you don't have to prove anything!! it's genius and revolutionary for freedom.

let's just kill them all! we will spread freedom by wanting to kill people! we must accept both as true, otherwise, people might start to think.

and remember, always point the finger at the other guy, and ignore everything going in your own country. governments never become corrupt, they only want to keep you safe.
