Lately here in michigan for once, its been very hot and humid. Today the sun isnt out much but its almost 90 degrees with alot of humidity. Im wondering even though I know weed plants like heat but is 90 too much? Also not only today have my plants been outside but its been 80+ with full blown sun the past week almost. My plants are watered very good but can that much heat do any damage?

Well, plants do best at 75-80 F

I dont think it would matter too much, but make sure you dont over water just cos its hot.

Those sort of temps should be fine for outdoors. The roots will stay cool deep below the surface and a gentle breeze will also help regulate the plants internal temperature. Do yourself a favour though and don't cut off any fan leaves.

At about 90 degrees the heat start to effect your plant's cell wall structure and how it processes photosynthesis - but sometimes not in a HUGE way. Cannabis plants have been known to grow in 100+ degree weather. I really think it all depends on the strain and the overall health of your plant, but I could be wrong.

Hey Drunk Fish,

Dont worry about the heat.. especially outside.. In Northern california.. many many millions... of plants are grown under severe heat condition... the rules outside are different than the guidlines that indoor growers try to follow...

Dude I Know hat you mean lol, it was so fuckin hot yesterday..I went out and planted my seeds, I didnt get to completely plant it because one seed had already fell off of what I guess is gonna sprout the embryo leaves so I just let the shit get sun, hopefully it makes it because it's really hot out there, I think it's gonna rain today though.

finally 90? are you way up north?..we've been in the upper 90s for several different days. Here in the southern part of the state theres normally 10-15 days above 90 during the summer. My outdoor grows didn't seem to mind the heat, but the weather did turn very shitty at the end of summer. It was a few years ago, but from about 9/10-9/22 we had 50 degree days and nights around 40. My buds were small and shitty. The weather warmed up to the 70s after i harvested. It was the worst luck I could have had.
