pleaseeeee billion, don't make me laugh.

I, like so many, am soo ready for the World Cup. Living in America, I naturally will root for my yanks, but their odds seem to be getting smaller and smaller with the recent injuries to capt. Cladio and bad losses to nothing nations in friendly's. But I also like watching France, mainly for Henry and Trez. Brazil is easily the most entertaining, with that fucking insane line-up. If they don't win, it's their own fault. It's either them or possibly Argentina or Spain. Yes Spain. And Ivory Coast would be nice just to see b/c of all the turmoil in their country.

that's too bad tonic chronic.
soccer will soon be a big thing in 'Ameica'
while your still watching another TV timeout for your precious football game. Soccer does it for 90 minutes, with no pansy ass TV timeouts. I could go on but it's far too hot here. It's like 80+ and humid...

I'm from the US, and I love the World Cup. Contrasting styles and national pride make every game classic.

I've never liked the US style, so I won't be supporting them, and I don't think that world will be supporting them ... I like Brazil and the Netherlands .... but I might change my mind as I see how much passion the teams play with once the games start.

I'll be watching every game on my high-definition 53 inch TV with Surround ... WOOT !!!

lol, Ivory Coast is stacked and they are considered an underdog. Seriously, look for this team to go far.

Donnie, you gotta support our boys if no one else is. If no one else gets hurt, they still have a decent shot at advancing. That is only if we play really well during group play. The US's damn luck kinda sucks, being drawn into the 'group of death'

go usa !

I'll have to check out Ivory Coast ... those African teams can be exciting ...

I don't hate the US team, but I really think that the South American and the Northern European styles are far superior. I give the US alot of credit for being very competitive considering their short history in the sport.

Whatever the result, it will be GREAT to watch.

first of all, soccer is the best sport in the world. i live in the us, so i guess im going for them but they might not even make it out of their bracket. brazil will probably win, but im going for italy and argentina. england's good, but without rooney and owen? not sure

even with rooney and owen, england won't make it past the quarterfinals. I wouldn't put it past them to blow a game or two and not advance out of the group stage. England's style of play doesn't really favor well in the international level. Just look at ALL those early round exits in years past. I mean I love a lot of the players, but they don't really click all too well as a team, and it shows. My boy Sol will show up to play though.

I never really got into soccer (football for everyone on the other side of the pond), too much running for my liking. I do like college level american football and wrestling. NFL is entertaining enough, but they make too much money. They're allways running out of bounds instead of hitting head on. Honestly, the best level of sporting seems to be highschool. I could watch a hundred highschool football games and wrestling matches. When you're 16, you really don't care if you break your leg, when you make 10 million a year, you're more apt to dodge hard hits.

But back to the point of the thread... I'll say US if we make it (I don't keep up with soccer so I have no idea if we're even worth a shit). If not then Maybe England, Ireland, or Scotland if any of the three are in it. Gotta represent the motherland(s)
