I was wondering how to know when the plants are ready to be harvested. Also, how do I look for seeds on the plant? I know that seeds will only appear on a female plant that has been polinized by a male plant, how to look for those seeds. And are little brown hairs on the buds a good sign? Thanks.

some people watch for 50-75% of the hairs to change to that reddish brown while others watch for the glands to turn from a clear-milky-amber color and pick when a few turn to the amber...like 10% or so. it's an indiviual preference so you'll have to experiment on how you like your finished product. the seeds will also show when they're ripe by watching for the pods to split open slightly...you'll know it when you see it. if you're doing a seed crop on purpose let them go until you start seeing a few drop off...then you'll know the majority are ripe.
after picking the plant i let it hang for an hour or two then put the scissors on it...after a short rest after picking the leaves will be much more pliable and easier to work with. makes it a bit easier to get your pointed scissors down to where the leaf stem meets the branch.

Thanks for this great reply....!! I was also wondering, since I'm very new to all this, are the leaves good for anything?? And what about the stems..? And another thing, what happens if you let the leaves on while you dry everything? And again, your replies are very appreciated....!! Thanks again..!! :)

I'd love to get both, but I think I got all females. I would have liked to take some of the seeds and plant them indoors first to prepare them for outside next year.

No worries. When I was growing, I spent a lot of time at that site and buying a lot of books. It is packed with great info for cultivators. :)

u dont need seeds unless ur gonna cross em with another type. just clone so ur positive u get a female and the budding process is a lot faster this way trust me

most the time 100 percent females on non femanized seeds meens the stars are alligned or the cannabis gods like you, and like the knite said, just clone, it easy as hell. Just top it and cut off one new stems once it has 4 or so sets of leaves, then suspend it in water so only the stem (n o leaves) are in it and wait, once it has alot of ruits put it back in the soil (or water if ur goin hydro)

you can get yourself a hash bag and make ice hash (search for "bubbleman" or "iceolator" or "hash bag") if you have a lot of trim...or you can also make oil (search "pot oil"). or you can give it to an underserving friend so he no longer has nothing to smoke. the fan leaves are pretty much worthless beyond mulch but the trim off the flowers can be very good. the stems make good stakes for propping up clones...

I seeded two buds of mine...One on each plant...the seeds are in pods that are green. You can't miss them. I pollenated 2 female flowers ...one branch on each of two trees. They are the only two with "pods". Real Obvious when you see them

Thank you very much guys.....greatly apreciated....actually, those females were given to me by an old friend....very new to this...and I guess I should have asked the last question earlier.....I guess it's too late to clone them if they've been drying off upside down in my drying room for a week now (in my locker..had no where else to put them....but they're drying off nice)....is it too late...? My guess is yes cuz the leaves have already dried off a lot so far....Thanks again to all...!!
