Can you help identify?

I have several outdoor grown plants where the buds and leaves are turning a deep purple. Anyone know what type of plants these could be? Also anyone know when the right time to harvest these would be? They are so different from the other plants.

I checked out pictures of Purple Star, several 100% Indica types, purple haze and purple #1 and these are not the same as I have. I will attempt to get a good picture and post. Any other clues will be appreciated. I am a first time outdoor grower.
