How do you raise and lower the light?

Do you raise and lower the plant?

I guess don't raise the bridge lower the river way of thinking.

I can raise and lower my plants or the light. The whole light assembly is on a rope and pullies in the ceiling. The whole thing is slightly heavier than I wanted, but if I push a little with one hand and pull on the rope with the other, it glides right up.
