Hi folks-- I'm new to this forum, but oh-so-familiar with its subject. Well, I haven't been for a while since I moved to Chicago.

Anyway, I'm a neuroscientist in my M - F life (sometimes Saturday and Sundays too!) but enjoy outdoor music festivals, running, sailing, playing my guitar and, of course, partaking in MJ while doing all the above. Although THC and its endogenous ligand, anandimide, is not my scientific speciality, I know something about how it works at the cellular level and have ideas about how that translates into the feeling of being high. So feel free to write if you want to converse about that or anything else.

I look forward to meeting fellow smokers!

Hey all, just registered here after a couple of years over @marihemp. How many Chi-towners on the board? It's a tough town for a stranger (been away for a while) to hook up, but that isn't all there is to life, n'est ce pas? Maybe it's just me -- at 6'5", 275# with grey-ish hair (middle age is tough!) ya don't just walk up to your local and get served  Thank god for good mail order :D

Chicago sure has changed in those years I was away -- really a beautiful place now!

Good to see a classical jazz fan on the board (Bonbon) -- going to jazz fest?

Hey BFD, Thanks for joining in. Can you help a fellow chicagoan out with some info about mail order? You can email me @ [email protected] (the email server here seems to be busted).

And bonbon-- Thanks for the tip about the jazz fest. I'd almost forgotten about it! Looks like the Coleman Hawkins fest will be my date.

cheers, LH

got some great steaks!! :D

Senor Illuminato, I will query my friend across the water if he's looking for new friends, but he will be out on vacation for a while. My advice for you in this regard is patience. Noobs are always looked on suspiciously, but eventually the chips fall into place. If I were you, I'd delete that email asap, or you may start getting hit up by scammers hot to take your $$$.
